Excellent, Excellent toy. My daughter loves it. She even carries some of the squinkies off to the shower with her. She likes the "tiny" factor of the toy. I would not recommend this for small children who would put it in their mouthes; but it's great for her age-range.

You're able to put the toy-filled balls into the cupcake top, put one of the toy coins in the slot, and dispense it like a gum-ball machine. It is really clever; and my daughter has played with it for hours-on-end.

Even though it does not rank high on the educational value; it enables her to use her imagination.

Great toy, and I would recommend it.

My Grand Daughter who turned 8 had been asking for this all summer for her birthday. She has sat with me and read the reviews and decided the Cup Cake was the one she wanted. She is pleased, she has had no problems with it breaking. All the neighbor hood girls play with it and love it. Great fun and quality toy.

Love this toy however I was very disapointed to see how much Amazon is charging for this as well as the Gumball Surprise Playhouse. They are just under $20 at Walmart and Target. Yes, they sell quickly but considering the price it's worth waiting for. I believe Toys R US also sells both for just under $20. I love Amazon and buy a lot from them however this is disappointing.

Great , fun, product... but overpriced by Amazon. I have always trusted Amazon for best value and service. The product was great, and my 7 yr. old granddaughter loved it. (she loves Polly Pockets, so I knew she would like this). I paid $37, and a week later it was $29. They would not do a price adjustment, because it was sent by a 3rd party. The worse part is, it is selling at Target for $19.99, and the series are $9.99. I will be a better consumer from now on when purchasing from Amazon!

I bought this for my niece's birthday. She didn't ask for it, but I thought I would get it because it was supposed to be one of the "Hot for Christmas" presents. While I thought it would be fun to have before xmas and then be able to buy more Squinkies to add, I was completely disappointed with this toy. The squinkies and their balls are much much much smaller than I thought they would be. And the balls are not easy to put back together. Therefore, it was very easy for her and her brother to lose the pieces, making the gumball function impossible to work. Plus, the way the coins come out, they didn't stay in the slot. Instead, shot across the room. Thankfully we found them, but those will probably be lost soon. I really don't see why this toy would be such a hot to have item either. Seems to be nothing by a publicity stunt by the makers hoping to get everyone to buy them. I wouldn't waste my money if I were you. If torn between this and something else on your child's list....go with their other choice!Squinkies Cupcake Surprise Bakeshop

Yesterday,I purchased the Cupcake Surprise and Gumball Squinkies sets at Walmart for $19.95 each. They only had one of each...I obviously was in the right place at the right time. I check the toy shelves at Walmart and K-Mart everytime I shop there hoping to find the toys I want to purchase for Christmas gifts. I LOVE Amazon and have gotten great bargins here. For some folks the markup may be worth the convenience and knowledge that you got what you needed for the holidays rather than running from store to store every other day with no guarantee the toy will be in stock.

I had my doubts, but my 4 year old wanted these so badly after seeing them on television commercials that I bought them for her birthday. This set and all the tiny little parts are one of her favorite toys. She takes care to keep all the squinkies in their cases, and all the balls in the cupcake thing. I was amazed at how much she enjoyed this toy. One note, if you lose the little yellow coin that makes the gumball machine work, you can use a dime to make it work as well.

This Squinkies holder is not the most durable product. My daughter used it for 1 hour and the place where you put in the Squinkies broke so it doesn't shut anymore. The Squinkies get jammed inside too. My daughter is 5 and loves the actual Squinkies to take along and play with - even trade so we did get something from buying it but you can also buy them separately.

Bought this at Christmas time as a gift for my niece. She had requested this and was delighted when Santa brought it. During the day she kept returning to play with it ... and I admit that I 'played' with it as well. The issue that I had was I felt the vendor on this site was a bit out of line in pricing. I had put it in my cart and waited to see if the price were to go down or to see if I could find it elsewhere. At one point - the price actually was increased to $500 - I am not joking. The following day the price dropped back down - but for that one day ... omigosh!!! The end result - found this item at Walmart's (albeit tucked in the back on a bottom shelf) for around $20.

My daughter always saw the commercials for Squinkies and had to have them for christmas. She loves it plays with it all the time. They toy is actually quite creative. Just like a gumball machine just with the cutest little gummie like characters.She loves it so much she wants to collect of the charactes.
