Crashes regularly, plays videos at high quality with no way to turn it down (needed feature for those of us with monthly data limits), and the Login with Facebook feature simple does not work. I've tried across several devices, and it simply does not log in. Also the app does not rotate with the screen when turned on its side, only when watching a video. Otherwise you cannot use the device easily on its side, which is perplexedly terrible and inexcusable.

Not to mention the flow and design of the app is awful and unintuitive. If I watch a video and press the back button, it goes, not back to the list of videos, but to the search result screen. That's strange, does it assume I wouldn't like to maybe watch more than one Red Letter Media video? Plus if during playback the app encounters ANY variation in signal, the video instantly crashes and says there's a data problem. I'm sorry, but if my video is buffered to the end and has a disruption in signal, play the damn video! I've never seen another video player, YouTube, Screenwave Media, or Flash through the browser, not be able to handle a little signal variation.

EDIT: Recently the app has improved slightly to allow for older videos on the account, but the fact that I still cannot log in, thus cannot quickly pull up my favorite content providers, still makes this app pretty terrible.

2.0 out of 5 stars Needs A Lot Of Work March 11, 2014

This app is useable. That's about the best I can say for it. Used on the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 it has serious issues. First Video's don't want to play full screen without the players control frame constantly opening and closing on its own. Second Blip has yet to convert large chunks of its producers content to be playable on the app. And many of the videos it has converted seem to be glitched as videos I know work on a PC will not play on the app because of a "Network Error" which I believe is caused by a failed conversion.

2.0 out of 5 stars Kindle Fire HD screen issue April 4, 2014

I'd wanted to watch a web series, called Dirigible Days. The more I'd looked at the website, the more it seemed I should use the Blip player. Fine. I downloaded it to my Kindle Fire HD4G, but clicking on the website's "Play" icon for the webisode didn't cause it to play. Instead, I've just found it on YouTube and watched it there. Now, the screen on my Kindle stays on; even after I've deleted the player in both the Cloud and Device area. I turn it off and it comes on later, after about 15 seconds. Please fix this, as I'd payed a goodly amount for this tablet and don't wish it t be ruined by some unusable app.

It insists of forcing you to login with Facebook then keeps failing to do so. This app needs work before it can be used

2.0 out of 5 stars Alright but needs some work November 8, 2014

While it runs Blip videos really well, the progress bar continually popping up and down when in landscape mode is really annoying. I'll like the app much better once this is fixed, but apparently it's been a problem for a while, so that might not be anytime soon.

I'm also a little worried about ads not playing while watching videos on the app. The video creators make money from those ads and I don't know if I'm supporting them by watching videos through the app or if I'm basically using adblocker. I'm sure most others will consider this a "feature", but to me it's a sign that the app still needs work.

4.0 out of 5 stars I Use it Almost Daily January 6, 2013

EDIT: I originally rated this app as being flawed, due to connectivity issues it had with Facebook. I have since learned that this was not a problem with Blip - this is a problem with the Kindle Fire Facebook app that blocks connectivity for other software on the device. I find the Blip app is a must-have, and would definitely download it again if I were to replace my current tablet.

2.0 out of 5 stars Didn't work for me, and Blip has been taken down
Was never able to play any videos on my Galaxy Note 4, and now Blip has been taken down, so there likely isn't a point to downloading this app any more.

Why does Blip hate people who want to watch their videos on mobile or other non-PC devices? I've had problems trying to access their site on alternative devices for years. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars not a fan.
Its okay but I can't sign into the service to access my subscriptions or like videos. Its really annoying. It's becoming really inconvenient to watch blip content honestly.

3.0 out of 5 stars Has many faults, but at least you'll get to watch Blip on Kndle.
Has some glitches and faults, but it is the only way to watch Blip Episodes on a Kindle, so I'll give it a pass.
