Birdbrain are bold, brash and loud. Best known for the Scream Soundtrack and video spotlight on the Scream video,but that song is not on Bliss.What is on Bliss is loud noisy guitars.Not all the songs work but when Birdbrain are on it they rock with maximum power.
Bliss is even better when heard thru headphones, they do alot of "whispering" that you may not pick up otherwise.Confession is a rip on their catholic school days. Drown has pounding guitar riffs and pounding drums, i think its about drug addiction.Booga and Gash are the best tracks. Booga is about your worse nightmares , it has a cool distorted voice chorus. Gash has an awesome bass line and delicious trashy lyrics.Circlejerk is about......well.....uhmmmm....you figure it out.Soundking is guitars upon guitars it rocks.There is also a hidden track.It must be the Birdbrain theme song. Its called Birdbrain and its about the girl of their dreams.Ammo talks about this girl over a sustained guitar note while the band chants Birdbrain.
Bliss is a good CD if you like music thats not mainstream or formulated for airplay.Like it says on the inner sleeve "Play Loud" you've been warned.

We already have Nirvana. Birdbrain sounds like Nirvana, except the music isn't as good, the vocals aren't as good, and the lyrics aren't as good. Birdbrain pretty much sounds like polished grudge. That in itself is an oxymoron. I found nothing new and/or exciting about this CD.
