Blissful Indy-Pop, December 19, 2005
This review is from: Bliss! (Audio CD)
A fun poppy album with obvious 80's and indy-brit-pop influences. They remind me of the Go-Betweens except The Positions use a female singer and horns. I want to see them on tour with Belle and Sebastian. Much of the album is similar sounding, but that makes it a very relaxing listen. 4.5 Stars.
For a similar sound, also check out a recent EP: "Blame The English" by The Lovekevins.

Well worth tracking down, February 21, 2006
This review is from: Bliss! (Audio CD)
If you're an indiepop fan this album is well worth tracking down. Great melodies and harmonies that will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Having seen the Positions many times live, I was most happy that the record captures the energy and spirit of their live performances. Love it!
I did give the record 4 stars just because I feel strongly the Positions will get even better over time.
