Mediocre double feature,

NOTE: this is a dollar store-type item!
EASTWEST slimcased DVD double features offer two films on one disc side, with no subtitles or extras beyond plot synopses on the case's back cover. Their space-saver two-fers provide a nice variety of lesser-known films for bargain prices. This is a rather mediocre pairing of two non-US-made corporate intrigue movies. Blitz is directed by Michael Verhoeven (son of Paul). Here, the German inventor of a practical electric auto faces danger from within his own country, also from agents of the Arab oil cartel. Watch for William Conrad (TV's CANNON) amidst all the voice-dubbed foreign actors. In AGENCY, Robert Mitchum and his odd crew take over an ad agency and strange things begin to happen, including the "suicide" of Lee Majors' best friend, Saul Rubinek. It's a weird story about subliminal advertising gone awry. Parenthetical numbers preceding titles are 1 to 10 imdb user poll ratings.
