I can't believe how fast my daughter (7) has progressed! Yesterday, she picked three of her favorite characters and did them free hand. They were wonderful!

My son (4) decided to create his own characters after being inspired by the DVD. They were funny and very playful.

Both are having a great time with their DVD's. I recommend this to any parent whose child loves to draw, regardless of skill.

I didn't realize there was an age limit on this book when I bought it. I enjoyed reading and learning from the DVD. Which I really did learn to draw those people. Despite being a young person's book; it was good enough content for a person learning to draw cartoons.

The video is an accessible draw-along tutorial that would be a valuable classroom tool for any grade from perhaps 3rd/4th to 7th/8th. I've seen quite a few 3rd/4th graders fully engaged with it, and even had the pleasure of introducing it for a 4th/5th special ed class (on a rainy day when they couldn't go out for recess) and it worked life a charm in a situation that could otherwise have become quite difficult. A great addition to any substitute teacher's toolbox.
