This is a product that performs better than expected as long as you take special care in ensuring the cap is on properly. You truly have the ability to refuel with diesel without spilling a drop!

The cans I ordered were no longer available so I was sent the updated version. It's perfect, no smell, no leaks, no dribbles, no mess.

It's a FUEL can... what can you say? This works great. Color is for DIESEL, but I use it to hold my fuel mix for chainsaw and other 2-cycle engines. The added bonus is that you can easily SEE the fuel level in this one! Not sure if it because the mix makes it darker, but I really like how visible this can is... and not being RED, some idiot won't grab the wrong one in the future!

The spout on these is spring loaded and SLOW. You don't just tip these into the tank, you have to line up a hook on the spout with the side of your fill neck. They will not pour unless the hook is pressed up against the fill neck. And once you finally get it all lined up and flowing, you're gonna be there for the next 20 minutes tilting and aligning the neck and tilting again because these things flow EXTREMELY SLOWLY. I would not buy these again.

This is a good fuel can, but for storing fuel you need to put the spout inside (upside down). Otherwise it leaks through a pinhole in the cap. That means the spout soaks in the fuel and when it comes out its covered with fuel. This can be fixed by making a rubber gasket for the cap.

To fill and store is great , no smell and doesn't leak.

The problem is pouring . Tilted to pour it will start to drizzle, tilt some more and a small second stream will start from the can . The one i have has a funky handle with a pull lever and a store/pour button which must be pressed first before pulling lever .

(Note this is the FIRST use and cap and hose snug tight) .

To be honest, it did save me from and uncomfortable situation. But a gas can that leaks sorta defeats the purpose .

I think if it had an "old school" simple cap there would be no or less problems . That " improved " button full cap is a joke .

I bought two of these containers back in july and mine have a different style filling nozzle; one with a safety switch and a handle you push down. I found if you tip the unit and then push the handle, the nozzle drips. They also leak from around the vent when tipped side to side during filling. Additionally, the catch that locks the filler nozzle to the can has begun to wear down after months of use, and the teeth don't really hold it in place any longer. Not bad for the price, but I will look elsewhere for future gas/diesel cans.

Thanks to your friendly government at work, this turkey got invented. SAFTEY anti-spill mechanism is so cumbersome to use one struggles not to spill the fuel while lifting and pouring. Since one hand is required to hold the latch-catch, one to lift, a third hand is required to steady a heavy full container.

Great Item Works very well cannot smell it. Keep it in my garage for hurricane fuel works very well very impressed with item along with price great item .

The spill proof is not really spill proof. It works ok, but the button spill proof are much better and easier to use. It's hard to maintain the flow while holding up a full can and the nozzle is prone to being pulled free from the neck. All of my future purchases will be the button type of cans, though they are roughly double the price. Since I store a lot of fuel for tractor and generator, I'd rather have something that is easier to use when you need it.
