Severe issues with compatibility. This wouldn't work my my Vista system and my Win 7 sys is a lost cause, just tried to run it. I'm pretty sure this is a result of the copy protection scheme on the disk. On the vista machine it would start the disk verification then abort. Will not even go that far now on 7. Too bad. A really good game. At boot abort states compatible with: Win 95, 98, ME, NT, 2003 Server, 2000, etc.. All the dead stuff. As admin and compatibility-no go. Thanks CDV. Your greed/paranoia bad decisions removed this from history. The original and Burning Horizon load and boot fine on 7. At install it takes a while for the drive to see the disk properly. Will eventually install. This is from the WWII American view. Really good missions and a good bit more difficult. I think it was the last mission to assault the Romanian(?) tank factory you must use the combined arms technique to win. It will eat you up and no sniper god to help out. Infantry armor and arty together and I remember supply trucks close to replenish infantry (and losing them too). Another village assault with a lot of Pz.Kpfw IV G or H armor across the river from the village in a train station, and a well defended bridge where if you touch them you get a very aggressive response. I miss this one. So old machine or get the first two and enjoy. Just ordered Mission Barbarossa and I very much hope it works. CDV you screwed up. |
