I used this youtube video as a guide, as well as the instructions that come with the Blitzsafe unit.

Perhaps it works in other model years but certainly not mine.

The product is great. I installed it on a 2006 Audi A4 with the Symphony II radio (double DIN with 6 cd changer inside the reciever and casette deck) It is easy to install (look it up on youtube). I attached a 3.5mm headphone jack to the RCA cables and pulled this through the console to come up by the parking brake. I suggest getting shielded cables as the cheap cables I bought started picking up interference. So I did a cheap shielding job with some foil and tape. I could not find this info: the in dash cd player still works as normal. This product would only replace a remote changer if you had one attached. It's great to have an auxiliary port to play my android phone on!

Installed in a 2007 Audi A3. Removed the factory radio snapped in the adaptor and instant ipod glory. Much better than Fm transmitters. Installation is a straight forward task that many can do themselves.
Don't forget to order the Metra keys for Audi car stereos so you can remove yours.

Great product! So much better than FM transmitters. I have a 2001 Audi A4, and, needless to say, it does not have a direct audio connection. It works very well, and all you need is this product, 4 Audi radio keys, and 1 audio cable (all can be found on Amazon). The quality is great, and everything fits right behind the radio. Look on youtube for an installation video. Thanks so much!

I order this device hoping it would enable me to hook up my iPod/iPhone to my car stero. Unfortunately the item isn't exact on what model or year it is for. There fore I spent 80$ of waste down the drain

The shipping took a while because the seller uses USPS and we all know those guys too well!.. I was excited to get this only to find that this was specific to Audi and did not fit VW like almost all of the other models. I purchased this from my smartphone so when i searched for the product, I didn't read the description well enough. To be fair, they don't say anything about VW on the ad. I gave it 2 stars because, it didn't fit, it took too long to arrive, it doesn't include any instructions (although there are tons of DIYs online.. so not needed really) and I had to pay $20 to send it back to California. So unless you know for sure this will work on your vehicle, don't purchase it.

The yellow box is too large to fit behind the head unit. I attempted to pop the plastic covering off but whats left is small circuit board incapable of withstanding shock. Perhaps it works in other model years but certainly not mine.

This device works exactly how I expected and wanted it to. Other devices replace the CD changer input with an auxiliary jack, whereas this device replaces the satellite radio input with an auxiliary jack.

A note to others: you *must* attach the grounding loop for the device to work. While testing the device before shoving the stereo back in, I thought that I'd received a bad copy because It wouldn't work. The problem was simply that I hadn't attached the grounding loop.

Also, the box is somewhat large, and it took about 8 tries to be able to get the stereo back in place. I find it hard to believe that this device couldn't be made smaller...
