About the Author

MARY POPE OSBORNE is the author of the New York Times number one bestselling Magic Tree House series. She and her husband, writer Will Osborne (author of Magic Tree House: The Musical), live in northwestern Connecticut with their three dogs. Ms. Osborne is also the coauthor of the companion Magic Tree House Fact Trackers series with Will, and with her sister, Natalie Pope Boyce.

SAL MURDOCCA has illustrated more than 200 children's trade and text books. He is also a librettist for children's opera, a video artist, an avid runner, hiker, and bicyclist, and a teacher of children's illustration at the Parsons School of Design. Sal lives and works in New York with his wife, Nancy.

Mary Pope Osborne obviously loves the city and enjoys sharing its treasures, including Central Park and the Cloisters, with the children in the story and with young listeners. Her narration is as entertaining as her writing. She reads with impeccable pacing, a clear, pleasing voice, and careful attention to dialogue, especially that between Jack and Annie. She also creates fun new voices as we meet curators, cabdrivers, and other long-ago New Yorkers. Children will enjoy listening as this engaging author transports them to one of our great cities, in one of its more somber times. We read these books together and although they are all different there are some repetitions from previous books. We love this series, but the last 12 books have to be read in order because of clues. We suggest reading them in number order from one all the way to the last number.

This book is excellent. If you love Unicorns, and I very much do then you will love this cute adorable book. Mary Pope Osborne has done it again with this fantastic story! You won't be disappointed. This book takes place in a blizzard and it's a excellent time to read a story like this coming into the season.

Blizzard of the Blue Moon is one of the greatest book by Mary Pope Osborne! Jack and Annie to New York City, 1938, during the time of the Great depression.
Their mission is to save the very last unicorn to stop the terrible blizzard. They get to know more about the unicorn as they meet Balor and Grinda,the apparintices of the Dark Wizard.
Jack and Annie sucess on saving the unicorn at the end.
I liked the part they meet Teddy,Kathleen,Morgan,and Merlin and recieve
the Wand of Dianthus for proving to Merlin they can use magic wisely and with thought. I highly recomend this book.
