The Blizzard Disaster story was a good book. The instant commuter was really neat! I liked Ellie's imaginary squirrel friend. Ellie said he grew a new tail! I hope Peg Kehret's next book is good because I'm going to read it!

The Blizzard Disaster,
By
This review is from: The Blizzard Disaster (Frightmares) (Paperback)
This book is well written and entertaining. It's also improbable but that's all part of the story. Two modern teenagershave this device where they can touch a map or a photograph and they transport themselves to that locale in an instant. In this case they arive in western Minnesota on November, 11, 1940, one of the most severe blizzards in state history.Their intention is to write a report for their school, and they believe they can have better information if they go directly to the spot rather than rely on book information. Their intentions work until they hear the cries of a lost little girl who is in danger of freezing to death. While it all works out in the end (these young adult books really have no other ending), the author writes in a way that makes the story fast paced and entertaining. This is a good short book to read.

The Blizzard Disaster,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Blizzard Disaster (Frightmares) (Paperback)
This book was exciting and nail biting. There was always some one in danger. The blizzard strikes unexpectedly with a schoolroom full of children, the walk home, getting lost in the storm, and then there was the time travelers and wondering if they would ever get home safely. I liked how Warren and Betsy were willing to help the lost girl even if it meant them being stuck in 1940 forever. The love between Janis and her horse, Patsy was great too. If she had not saved the horse she would have died for sure. You have to read this story to fill in the blanks.

It had a lot of action in it and kept my attention. I liked how Pansy the horse led Janet home even though it was blind. I felt like I was actually there! Read this book...it is great!

I think that it was very sad because Janis and Pansy might have to lose some body parts because of frost bite. But what I like is when they are safe from the blizzard. And I like the imaginary squirrel. I like Peg Kehret's books.

I liked the part of the book when Ellie said, "but he grew a new tail!" I liked the part where Pansy saved Janis's life. I am going to read the volcano book next. I hope it is good, too. I like Peg Kehret's book.
