Over the last 10 years that I first installed STARCRAFT I have replayed it countless of times. Every time a new overhyped game disappoints me, this is one of the games I pull out of my library to be reminded what a GREAT PC GAME LOOKS & PLAYS LIKE! (others include UNREAL, BALDUR's GATE, GRIM FANTANGO and SHOGUN:TOTAL WAR)

Everyone has his/her favorite RTS and no one can claim that STARCRAFT introduced the futuristic RTS genre (that would be DUNE). Nevertheless, the great, crisp and clear graphics, the balanced units and the strategic terrain all contributed into turning STARCRAFT into a true classic. This is a game that passed the test of time, not only because its aging graphics are still acceptable but also because it is one of those games that stays with you. Forever.

So, the next time some gaming industry MBA (who probably could not tell an RTS from an cRPG) tables the idea of LIMITED INSTALLATIONS, what he will have primarily accomplished is to have his game forgotten within a year.

StarCraft is the best game ever created, I started playing its and a teenager and still play it right now. I recommend buying the game, check out teamliquid.net, iccup and youtube. But don't buy this product, buy Battle Chest instead!

My Battle Chest Broodwar dish got damaged, I bought this pack to replace it out of curiosity. This set is = Battle Chest minus 2 guide + much slower installation

Since 14 years and until now this game is the King. Even the Starcraft 2 is not as good as this one. For online gaming and network gaming with friends this game pwns all.

Stepson got this for his new laptop. He seems to really enjoy it. It did take a little work to get it loaded properly. Finally found a driver that made it work the way it should. That was the only downside.

i bought this so my brother and i could play online. It worked better than mine. The second CD is under the first one (just a heads up). Get this game first before playing the newer Starcraft 2. I love the first one too much that i am afraid to play the new one. A little advice, wait like me for about a year so the price drops. (^_^) Chow.

The expansion disk is hidden under the main disk but other than that installing the game was pretty easy. The actual game is fun but a little difficult. The many levels on the main game plus the expansion keep you from beating the game too easily.

The only reason this is a recent purchase is my original CD of Broodwar had become damaged beyond repair and I had to replace it. I really HAD to! The game may be over 10 years old, the graphics not up to today's games' standards, etc. But it is still one that I enjoy playing occasionally.

I can't wait for the next version (Wings of Liberty)!

My grandson enjoys playing this game and connects with others. I as a grandparent find it noisy and somewhat aggressive.
