..would include this amazing cd. its the type of music that's perfect for a quiet, cosy, lazy night beside a big fireplace, with a bottle of wine. It'd be harsh to say this is background music, yet it's perfect for listening to while reading, writing, daydreaming etc.. Yes, this is very jazzy, it's very complex in places, but also blessed with simple and beautiful moments. It's astounding to think this is all improvised too! It's not a record to put on and rock out to, or sing along to. This IS a record to lose yourself in. You can either use it to simply fill the silence while you do something else, or you can let it invade your mind and soul, and if you do, you will feel blessed.

I wouldnt have thought one man and his guitar could captivate as much as this does. It really makes me think of the improv jazz legends, only with a beautiful guitar.

If you like songs to be 3 minute long sing-a-longs then avoid this. If you like improvisational jazz; miles davis, charlie parker, john coltrane etc..buy this now! Every note chimes, every note dances, every note is in its perfect place. This will fill many more of my perfect cosy lazy nights.

this showcase's geoff's jazz stylings to such a perfect degree. perfect amount of "soloing" mixed with melody! blobscape was recorded live in wakefield, RI over the course of 100 different shows at place that's actually right down the road where i grew up. unfortunately i never got to see any of these shows, but this album must sum it up perfectly.

if you're a fan of jazz or guitar music than this is definately right up your ally. if you're into karate and the secret stars this is definately a very good purchase as it definively proves how good of a guitarist farina actually is.

my only qualm is that its not something that i can put on no matter what mood i'm in, whereas with karate i can listen to it just about any time.
