Loves Me mugs,

My son bought me the Loves Me mugs, pitcher, sugar, creamer and teapot for Mother's Day. These are the cutest mugs I've ever owned. The bottoms are stamped "dishwasher and microwave safe," but microwave safe they are not. The finish immediately became crizzled from use in the microwave. Coffee and tea stains have set into all the little cracks and fissures. Furthermore, they absorb far too much heat in the microwave to be handled safely. I'm planning to replace the ones I have, but will never put the new ones in the microwave.

i had no idea how large these mugs were going to be. Had i seen them in a store first, i would not have bought them, although i must say they are wearing on me...even if i can almost put my whole face in the mug.
