challenging building toy for the kid who enjoys that kind of thing, kind of like working with legos but much cuter. and a lot more forgiving in terms of not having to be too specific with the parts in order to create.
box says starts at age 5, i would say that 5 is the "absolute youngest" that will be able to build the models sucessfully. more challenging than it looks. my husband and i are also having fun working with it. bought it at the zoo and paid way too much, but still like the toy!

One of my boys received this set as a birthday gift, and it has been one of the best gifts we have received. My 7 and 5 year old boys will play with these for hours - but we only pull them off the toy shelf about once a quarter as it is a toy that can only be played with while their younger brothers are napping. We have had these for at least a year and they have held up great. I think this is a toy that will be played with for many years to come, and I plan to purchase an additional set for a birthday gift this fall. I think any child that loves building with Legos will enjoy this product.

Sent this as a gift to my 6 year old nephew because my son loved it so much. Although there are a lot of pieces, a ziplock baggie contains them just fine. Parents may have to help with building pictures on box, but the kids can make up their own creatures with no problem! Good for improving attention span and very durable.

I have young children who like to build, but without heavy adult assistance, these could never be built. Once built, they cone apart too easily.

This is a fun toy. The reptiles look like they should and can be posed and played with once they are built. My four year old could do some of it by himself, but since he can't read yet he needed some help.

We bought this for our 5-year old and we're a little disappointed in it. He has a hard time building the lizards himself and usually my 7-year old ends up building it for him. My 7-year old enjoys it much more. But once they're put together they are not very exciting to play with as they don't stay together very well. The kids still like the set, but I don't think I will buy anymore.

These were really fun to build but after that, nothing but frustration. My son and I really had fun building these but once we finished he complained constantly. He wanted to play with them and I was very tired of fixing them. I might take the time to try and glue them next.

My 8 year old loved building the different lizards and I liked building them too. There are some lizards that are harder than others. I like that they are different than other toys that you build.
