Book Description

Blog to Book Deal: How They Did It is a collection of interviews with bloggers who have become published authors. Bloggers like Chris Guillebeau (The Art of Non-Conformity), Ramit Sethi (I Will Teach you To Be Rich), Julien Smith (Inoveryourhead.net) and Jenny Blake (Life After College) tell you in their own words how they've gone from starting a blog to becoming published authors. The shared dream of multitudes of bloggers and one of the ultimate credibility builders of the writer, the book deal is often considered to be an elusive achievement reserved for only a few select individuals. This exclusive look into the minds of some of today’s brightest authors reveals that the path from blog to book deal is more attainable than most people realize. BlogcastFM host and co-founder Srinivas Rao focuses on how his interviewees write New York Times best sellers, develop incredible marketing plans, and overcome the challenge of smaller platforms by building fiercely loyal audiences.

5.0 out of 5 stars Straight from the experts September 24, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Srini is a great interviewer, and when he turns his sights on a specific subject and a range of experts, you can be assured you'll get everything you need and then some. My favorite "how to" books always involve more than one subject because there is more than one way to do everything, and you have to find what works for you. There are great interviews in here with really successful authors, and if you are interested in writing and publishing a book you'll find real-life, practical advice from these publishing superstars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Read this with a notebook next to you! September 27, 2012
By ASH
Format:Kindle Edition
If you are looking for a list of 10 things you should do which will guarantee you a six figure book deal, this book will not help you. No book should guarantee that. There is no shortcut. In the Introduction, Srinivas warns that, "[t]he odds are stacked against you but not impossible to overcome."
Blog to Book Deal is a brainstorming session for the reader. Srinivas gathered blogging experts of various backgrounds and niches, all with different perspectives and varied styles. This book allows you to be a fly on the wall. He recognizes that you can't take any one person's advice or plan verbatim. You need to "take it and mold it based on your situation." If you are a blogger hoping to take things to the next level, you will want to take notes as you read the book. Pick these brains for as much knowledge as possible. They have done it. Why can't you.
