Sabrina Morgan is a highly respected member of the bomb squad. She is as cool under pressure with her job as she is with her personal life. She never gets involved with anyone, and always maintains her distance until the night she found a bomb she couldn't diffuse. She got out just before the explosion, and was quickly pinned to the ground and protected from the fallout by firefighter Jake Donovan. Sabrina was mortified because now he knew one of her deepest secrets. She had been absolutely terrified of bombs since she was a small child. While in the midst of falling apart, quite out of character, her lips found Jakes.

Jake Donovan has been enamored with Sabrina since the local newspaper did a story on her. He had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to finally meet her, and he couldn't have planned it any better. He knew she had a reputation of never dating anyone, but he was determined to be the exception. When she allowed his foot in the door, and showed her interest, Jake knew there was going to be something profound between them. He didn't realize just how much she was going to kick and scream going into a relationship. Everything was so difficult for her to accept, and take at face value. Sabrina didn't have a family, and meeting his was just one of the obstacles they had to overcome.

Sabrina couldn't believe that she had become so attached to Jake in such a short time. When bomb threats escalated, and she was unable to diffuse them, she leaned on him more than she was comfortable with. It was revealed a crazy man with a fixation on her was setting bombs, and she had no idea why, but was determined to find out. As she and her team raced against the clock to figure out the puzzle, Jake was by her side giving her his unwavering support.

Sabrina has had to deal with more in her young life than anyone should ever have to. Being ripped from the parents she adored at such a young age, and thrown into the foster system, made her the tough guarded woman she had become. Sabrina didn't know what to do with Jake. They had a powerful attraction to each other, and as much as she tried to prevent it, he broke through her defenses anyway. This is a very engaging couple that will draw you immediately into their story. Very intense suspenseful story that will keep you guessing until the very end. Recommended read!!

This is my firt book by Lara Santiago and I loved it! The Blonde Bomb Tech has it all! A hunky hero, a sassy heroine, a great plot and amazing sex! WHEW! Sabrina has just the right amount of spunk and vulnerability mixed to create a girl I could cheer for! And Jake...well, what more could you ask for than a sexy fire-fighter? He was the perfect mix of Alpha male and tender lover!

Did I mention plot? WOW that's hard to find these days but this book had me from the 1st page to the last in ONE SITTING! BUY THIS BOOK! IT'S A KEEPER!
