Product Description

Pretend play is no longer all make-believe. When you feed and hug Love and Grow Suzie, she really grows from a baby to a toddler! Love and Grow Suzie "recognizes" her food, and tells little mommies what she wants to eat. Respond to her with lots of love and care, and she'll grow from 16 to 20 inches tall. Her hair even grows from short to long! And just like a real little girl, Suzie loves to sing songs and play games. When you want to start the fun all over again, Love and Grow Suzie reverts back to a 16" baby doll. Requires 4 "C" batteries, not included.

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware ....before you spend $90, November 3, 2006

My 5 year old little girl just got this for her Birthday. Instantly we had issues getting her to do what we wanted. Her mouth has never moved as she does in the commerical or states on the box. With in one day, her one leg became detached so it just dangles there (it wont grow or shrink with her). I've watched my kids play with this toy - they didn't do anything a normal child won't do to the toy. I may be a little picky, but for $[...], I expect the toy to be more rugged and actually work as they say it would.

5.0 out of 5 stars Phenomenal Doll- sure to provoke sqeals of joy from EVERY little girl!, December 19, 2006
This review is from: Blonde Suzie - Baby Love and Grow Doll (Toy)
When you were little, wasn't it nice when your friends went ga-ga over something you had and they (your friends) thought your parents were SO cool for getting it for you? Wouldn't you like to give your little girl that sensation? Now, that may not be your primary concern (it's not mine) but it's a real bonus, heh. this doll will definitely procure afore mentioned reaction from ALL your little girls friends. Even if your daughter is 9 or 10. How many girls have a doll that grows... AND talks... AND sings... AND moves... AND has to be changed/potty trained... AND eats?

If your about to have a baby- consider this the BEST baby doll you could get to help you explain what having a baby is going to be like. I wish Suzie had been around back in 2004 when I had my son, because it would've been the *perfect* "gift from baby". (We give the kids one gift each from the new baby when we bring him/her home.)

Well when I went online looking for a new type of doll, I wanted one that comes with accessories. I wasn't too sure, but this one looked like it had a decent amount (to fill her diaper bag with) so I bought it. Would you like a list of the fabulous accessories?

Baby Accessories:

Baby Outfit- 1 Nightgown, 1 Diaper, 1 Baby Cap, and 2 Hair Ribbons
1 Baby Food Jar
1 Baby Spoon
1 Blankie (Soooooooo cute!)
1 Baby Pacifier
1Birth Certificate
1 Baby Bottle

Unlike most baby dolls, this one's accessories are okay to be around very small children. I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old and I haven't fouond a choking hazard yet! I also liked that the baby bottle and pacifier were not pointy. The last thing I need is one of the kids fallling on it and impailing themselves.

Toddler Accessories:

Toddler Outfit- 1 Jumper, 1 Tee Shirt, 1 Pair of Leggings, 1 Pair of Shoes, 1 Pair of Socks, and one Pair of Training Pants.
2 Hair Extensions
1 Hair Brush
1 Sippy Cup
1 Toddler Dish
2 Toddler Spoons (I got a kick out of the fact that there's food on them)
1 Toddler Potty Seat
1 Growth Chart

Something the Amazon description didn't tell me: she can play games and sing songs! She plays (games) "The Guessing Game", "This Little Piggy", and "Peek-A-Boo". She sings (!!!) "Itsy Bitsy Spider", "Row,Row,Row, Your Boat", and "The ABC Song".

As a baby, she even cries when she needs to be changed. When she's a toddler she tells you when she needs to potty, when she's hungry, when she's thirsty, etc. She knows when she's grown up! Her voice matures and her speech gradually improves!

If you give her her bottle when she's a full grown toddler, she'll tell you she is "A big girl" and ask for her sippy cup!

She knows when you're brushing her hair, and she has AWESOME manners. (My daughter already has great manners but jeez, if she didn't- this would be the doll to get for her!) She recognizes your childs voice as her momma and won't call you (the adult) momma, which was a real bonus that I hadn't expected.

Yet another super plus to this doll is that you don't have to program her at ALL. You can give it to your little princess, straight out of the box. (we all know that's what they want!)

I would NOT recommend this doll for anyone under the age of 5. The box says 4+ but I contend that she is simply too complex and requires a broader attention span than a younger child has to offer.

She is *more* than worth the money you pay for her. Between the growing, the maturing, the feeding, the changing, the nurturing, the training, the facial expressions, and the interaction that this doll provides... I don't think I can sing enough praises about her!

(Sorry this is so long. She's just so incredibly amazing!)

I'd give her an entire galaxy of Stars if I could, but 5 will have to suffice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best toy ever..., December 6, 2006
This review is from: Blonde Suzie - Baby Love and Grow Doll (Toy)
I don't know what those other two ladies are talking about but I purchased this toy for my daughter and she absolutely loved it and still loves it. The accessories are fantastic and the fact that she can grow is something my daughter still can't get over. She is 5 and I would say it's a perfect gift for Christmas for any girl 5 and up.
