I knew about Hasler before buying the book, being a solo sailing junkie so I was intrigued to finally read the book. It is eminently readable, easy going in tone without too much of the authors ego in it. I found some excellent quotes/concepts on leadership from Hasler in it. The details and particulars appear to be well researched & I have already recommended it in one of my sailing seminars.
For folks interested in the subject of the Genesis of modern solo ocean racing or the man in particular, including views on seamanship it is an invaluable read. Joe Cooper [...] |
