2009 two CD collection from the New Wave outfit fronted by Debbie Harry containing all of their Chrysalis Records singles in chronological order including A and B sides from seven and twelve inch editions. Packed full with remastered versions of classic cuts and unreleased B-sides, as well as previously unavailable remixes. Includes the extended version of 'Call Me,' which appeared on the soundtrack for 1980's American Gigolo plus other great hits like 'Rip Her To Shreds', 'Heart Of Glass', 'One Way Or Another', 'The Tide Is High', 'Denis', 'Hanging On The Telephone' and many others. Features all the singles released from their debut album right through to their final single lifted from The Hunter album.

This the upteenth collection from Blondie that has yet to include Every single released from their original era of the 70's and 80's.

This collection is missing several singles. If you are looking for a complete singles collection with the single versions and b-sides pick up The Platinum Collection double cd compilation from 1994. I recomend that as it not only has ALL the US and UK singles but also has 5 unreleased Demos from 1975 and two 1994 remixes of Atomic and Rapture and a HUGE booklet with all the info on each song as well as a Blondie history and discography.

This collection is missing half of the US Singles and leaves out a couple of the 12" Versions. Missing singles are X Offender (7" version, the album version is given here) I'm Gonna Love You Too, One Way Or Another, The Hardest Part, and Slow Motion. Also missing War Child and Atomic Extended Version

This collection also claims to be newly remastered versions of the singles but most are either from the 2001 remasters or 1998 remasters which there is a flaw on Hanging on The Telephone and Heart of Glass omits the thrid verse (Pain in the ass) and replaces it with the second verse.

Three stars: -1 for unoriginality and horrible package design & -1 for leaving out the US Singles and not containing anything availble elsewhere.

However, Live It Up (Special Disco Mix) was only previously available on the import 1994 AutoAmerican remaster and the Singles Box (2004) So it's inclusion here is a new addition.

....therefore, "One Way or Another", a single in the U.S., was never released as a single in the U.K. (what were they thinking?) and is not in this collection. Can't really blame the compilers, after all, it is the "Complete Singles Collection", U.K. version. The absence of that song, my fav. by Blondie, keeps this sublime collection from being absolutely perfect, and forces me to p/u a copy of "Parallel Lines", as I look to upgrade my Blondie collection.
