Trace Adkins is one of the hottest and most talented men in country music and it is about time he has come out with his own DVD of his videos.

This DVD loses three stars from me for three simple reasons:

ONE - WTF is w/ the blurred out Arsenio Hall (in "Straight Up" taking up the full screen in most cases) and brand-names (in "Forever Your Girl")?! ...Probably not a big deal if you're not used to the vids, but annoying as hell if you're a longtime fan...

TWO - Where is the ENTIRE "Rush Rush" video? ...B/C there's an awesome intro that was cut for whatever stupid reason (the disc is short enough as it is... There ain't no need to cut that out - LOL)

THREE - Probably the most disappointing of all: Where are ALL the vids?!!! I mean, if they were gonna just stick to that particular era of Paula's musical career, then they could've had the decency to throw one of the two versions of "Knocked Out" and "The Way That You Love Me"... Such a rip-off... Not to mention that there are numerous vids after that as well that could've easily been added... LOL... Oh maaan...

So basically, I do advise this if ya love Paula and wanna support her and enjoy what ya can, but... Virgin needs to get off their lazy @$$es and throw a real bone to the starving fans out there...

This is a great collection of Keith's videos thus far! It features 3 videos from his 1999 self-titled album (Your Everything, Where the Blacktop Ends, But for the Grace of God) and 3 videos from his 2002 Golden Road album (Somebody Like You, Raining on Sunday, Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me). All videos are crystal clear and shown in their entirety, and the sound really gets your heart racing! Keith is an incredible performer!! I was a little disappointed that there was no insert or pamphlet -- there was only the DVD in the case. But since I was never promised anything except videos, I can't complain. I just store my ticket stubs from his concerts in the case so it's a complete package.
BUY THIS DVD!! The songs and the scenery are well worth the price.

My opinion: very sad. It's disappointing. The DVD features only 6 of Paula's 16 music videos. Coincidentally, the only music videos on the DVD are Paula Abdul's #1 hit singles... in which she only had six.

The DVD had been rescheduled for release multiple times.

After waiting as long as we have for a DVD collection with all of Paula's videos on it, frankly this is a disappointment.

Why not put all 16 videos on DVD?

I have loved Paula Abdul ever since I first heard "Straight Up" on the radio. It was shortly after that I discovered the awesome videos Paula created for her music and which played in unending rotation on MTV. There were two collections of her videos released on VHS in the early 90s but they didn't include all her videos. Paula fans have been desperate to get all of them...too bad it wasn't on this collection either.

Not only is it just the six number one videos but they are edited too. For example, in "Straight Up" Arsenio Hall is blurred out in all his appearances and the Lakers logo on her jacket in "Forever Your Girl" is also blurred out. I realize this may be due to rights issues but you would've thought Keanu Reeves would be blurred out of "Rush, Rush". (Luckily he isn't). And speaking of "Rush, Rush", this mini-movie remake of the James Dean classic 'Rebel Without a Cause' is not the full video. It simply begins with the song, rather than the brief scene at first.

I had the chance to meet Paula Abdul at a Meet-N-Greet in 2004. She was asked about her music videos being released and she said she was aware that someone was going to release a collection without her permission and she wasn't too happy about that. She also said that she viewed her music videos as art and that she would release her own collection that would present them as they should be. Let's hope that this is soon.

I usually am not a country fan, but Trace has definitely changed that! These videos range from deeply heart-touching to funny, and as a lot of other fans have written, you can see that he is very real--something I find totally refreshing. "Then They Do" brought tears to my eyes because, as a mom of 6, I know exactly what Trace is talking about. My husband brought Trace to my attention with "Hot Mama"--he originally taped it for me (we wondered if Trace knew us because so much of what was portrayed was familiar to us--especially the dining room scene :)). I think he should have gotten the "Flame Award" for that video because not only was it better than Toby Keith, it was a big kiss sent to all moms and wives out there! (Right back at you, Trace!) "I'm Tryin'" was very haunting and real. "Chrome" was cute. "This Ain't No Thinkin' Thing" was sexy and the type of song that can get stuck in your head all day........."Every Light In The House" was touching and sweet (and I was glad to see a happy ending!). Altogether a really neat video that leaves you smiling--well worth the price. When's the next one, Trace? :)

Santa gave me a belated Christmas gift, the releasing of Video Hits was a treat for this admittededly MAJOR fan of Billy Squier.

The first three videos appear to be from the now out of print VHS copy of "Live In the Dark," with the DVD releasal still available as of this writing. Because these three videos appear to be from the "Live In the Dark" VHS/DVD, losing one star was justified. However, the other videos more than make up for the loss of additional stars.

Those first three videos include from the "Don't Say No" album:

1. The Stroke

2. In The Dark

3. My Kinda Lover

Actual video releases of 4 through 6 included on this DVD are:

4. Everybody Wants You

5. Rock Me Tonight

6. Love Is The Hero

"Everybody Wants You" is Billy's video that features Andy Warhol's cover illustration as well as Billy and the band playing the song in the video. If you were a neon loving 80's child, this video is hard to forget if you were a Squier fan.

"Rock Me Tonight" are sure to provide smiles for fans like myself who enjoyed seeing Billy playing and moving around in a loft like apartment with a bed as center stage, playing the pink guitar. Of course you get to see the boys of Billy's band and the late Bobby Chouinard having a little fun with Billy.

I really loved the song "Love Is the Hero" when I first heard it. This song could stand on its own without help of a video, however a video was made and saw very limited MTV airplay I'm told.
