My 12 yr old son absolutely LOVES the Vampirates series and this book was no exception. He read it in about 2 weeks. He is not an avid reader but this series really catches his attention.

8 year old great-niece is the one reading these books. She now has 1-5 and thoroughly enjoys them. First books she's ever been excited by and can't wait to read. For that alone I'd give it 10 stars if I could.
