Direct Source westerns offer indirect transfers, January 26, 2010
This review is from: Blood City and God Said to Cain: double feature (DVD)
This DIRECT SOURCE double feature of non-American made westerns is also available as a bundle with two other films in their
WILD WEST SHOOTOUT pack.
Unfortunately, the better of these, "Cain" is a wretched dub: blurry and washed out. "Blood City" is marginally better but not nearly as interesting to watch.
SYNOPSES:
AND GOD SAID TO CAIN... - Euro-western directed by horror specialist Antonio Margheriti. Cast includes Gina Lollobrigida's cousin. Familiar but still exciting story of a wrongly convicted man pardoned after ten years hard labor in a prison rock pit who, during a violent windstorm, seeks revenge on the guilty.
BLOOD CITY - A reworking of the "Westworld" theme. Several amnesiacs awaken in an Old West town and are forced into slavery. They must engage in and win showdowns in order to eventually face off against the town sheriff.
Parenthetical numbers preceding titles are 1 to 10 imdb viewer poll ratings.
