If you love trashy, cheapie horror oldies......, May 10, 2005
This review is from: Blood of Dracula [VHS] (VHS Tape)
....and you know who you are...... this one's for you!
This is, hands down, one of the best of the stupid, tacky, impossibly poorly written and acted teenie-bop fifties movies ever. It even has a production number, "Puppy Love", sung by a dreamboat greaser-guy (later a vampire victim, his body discovered along with another unfortunate teen in an unbelievably contrived shot with major bad lighting. Tacky effects, even for the time, the same girl-to-vampire progression sequence repeated endlessly. You can also see a string holding the vampire mask onto the protagonist's head in a graveyard sequence.
I ADORE this movie. Yeah, where IS the DVD??????

Where's the DVD ...?, August 2, 2003
This review is from: Blood of Dracula [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is one of those films that is hard to find for those of us who love trashy horror flicks. This is one of the best. A fun script, tacky effects and some hysterically bad songs. What fun. I have the VHS. I want a DVD. Anyone else who agrees? UPDATE: This has been released on DVD, on a double-bill with "How to Make a Monster". Very good transfer.
