Book Description

January 1, 2003
What if the DNA of Jesus Christ was discovered and cloned in another human? What if that human was a killer? Mysterious blood has been discovered on the remains of an ancient religious artifact. Some believe it is the blood of Christ. And experiments with specific genes from the blood have brought surprising findings. Now it's time to introduce those genes into a human. Enter Michael Coleman: multiple killer, death-row resident . . . and, if he is willing, human guinea pig. There are no promises. The effects may kill Coleman or completely destroy his sanity. He agrees to the experiment, with results so astonishing that the research must continue---but not in prison. Given a new identity and new employer, Kathryn Lyon, Coleman reenters society. And that's when a plot far darker than science alone could construct begins to emerge. Blood of Heaven is a nonstop page-turner that looks deep into the heart of man, examining the nature of good and evil, flesh versus spirit, and the ever-growing controversy over genetically determined behavior.

More About the Author

Hi.
Thanks for checking up on me. Probably best to go over to my web site: www.Billmyers.com for biography information. And if you're really bored, there's my fan site over on Facebook:
www.facebook.com/pages/Bill-Myers/44983396181 Oh, and one last thing. If you're a student and your class reads one of my books, I'll do a 'meet the author' 30 min question and answer session by speakerphone with your class from my office here in California. If you're a reader's group, the same thing goes...in which case I'd recommend ELI to really get the discussion juices flowing - at least until THE GOD HATER comes out in 2010. Thanks for stopping by!

5.0 out of 5 stars 1st of 3 great books!, March 10, 2000
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Blood of Heaven is the first of a series of three wonderful books with an entirely original treatment of the end days. Myers just may be better than Milton in justifying God's ways to man! Real people with real weaknesses are portrayed realistically in their trials to overcome evil with good. The characterization was as good as the plot, which is a rare find. The overall message was extremely thought-provoking and ultimately uplifting spiritually. I strongly recommend all three books: Blood of Heaven, Threshold, and Fire of Heaven.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique, suspenseful, and well-developed, September 2, 2002

TOMMY C ELLIS "Prison Rev." (Federal Way, WA United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
A hardened, "dysfunctional" murderer becomes a sincere, suffering soul who senses others' pain intensely. Why? He is injected with an extract of Jesus' blood. Then...something proves terribly wrong, and a heart-wrenching internal struggle begins. Counter this dynamic with the protaganist's potential romatic interest--a woman who rightly is thrust into the ultimate "love/hate" dilemma. Myers combines crisp, driven prose with a cast of characters that are complex without being complicated. I cared for the people in this story--and sometimes that meant being torn between good people going in contrary directions. The pages turned quickly, as the author weaves spirituality with a host of psychological, moral and ethical challenges. Fantastic stuff!

5.0 out of 5 stars Is faith more powerful than science?, November 5, 1997
By A Customer
Is faith more powerful than science? This book, although fiction, explores that thought through a very real pursuit. I read the book in a day, not because it was light reading, but because it was gripping. The climax isn't what you'd expect... it's even better! Do I recommend it? YOU BET! Hey - I wouldn't even be surprised if they make it into a movie and Mel Gibson plays the lead. :-)
