Eye opener,

This review is from: Blood of the Impaler (Mass Market Paperback)
Wow. I read this book when it first came out 20 years ago. I was engrossed from the first. Amazed that it opened my eyes to a classic that I'd read over & over since the 6th grade - Dracula.
After reading Blood of the Impaler, I went back & read Bram Stoker's classic & found I had missed a LOT. I wrote to the author to tell him my love of Horror & how his book had re-awakened that love & made me want to read even more. His reply to me is still kept framed, and the autographed copies of his other works are treasured. 20 years later & thousands of horror/paranormal books line my bookshelves of my personal library. Jeffrey Sackett's novels are of the few that I've kept over the years to return to now & again.

As a big fan of vampire books, this is by far of the best. Sackett pulls you right in with vivid imagery and makes you part of the book. Not only should it be put into print, there should be a sequel.

My aunt gave me this book to read because I love vampire books. I love this book it should be put back into print. It is very hard to find even in Hardback which I am looking for because I have nearly read this book to peices. I have read it over 15 times and keep finding things that I missed the last time. This ia a deffinate must have to any vampire book collection.

This is the Sequel to Dracula. It is an amazing book. I had 2 go all over the place to get a copy of this book. Y is it out of print? I dont know. It shouldnt be. Sackett is King. I love Sackett. He can write books, speak different languages, and teach the difference between mercantalism and imperialism. Fascinating book with a fascinating story written by a fascinating man.

WHAT A GREAT SEQUEL TO BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA. I READ IT AT LEAST 4 TIMES WITHIN THE LAST FEW YEARS. IT'S FUNNY, SAD, SUPRISING AND SCARY IN A VERY 90'S WAY. I HAVE NOT READ A VAMPIRE BOOK LIKE IT, EVER! I WISH I COULD SPEAK WITH SOME OF THE CHARACTERS. WITH ALL THE FOCUS THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY IS PUTTING ON SUPERNATURAL BEINGS, WHY IS THIS BOOK OUT OF PRINT! I WOULD GIVE IT MORE THAN FIVE STARS IF I COULD.VERA

One of the best vampire novels I have ever read.,

Blood of the Impaler is a great horror novel. This "sequel" to Bram Stoker's Dracula is scary, funny (One of the parts of the book had me laughing for at least a half an hour, which was embarassing because I was sitting on the bus all by myself, laughing.), and an absolute delight to read. I have read it at least three times and will never tire of it. Jeffrey Sackett's characters are witty and intelligent, and his bad guys are fiendishly evil. This book is a must for vampire and horror fans everywhere.

A fantastic sequel/prequel to Stoker's DRACULA that shows how Vlad became Dracula and what became of the Harkers, Van Helsing, Holmwood & Seward, Done with GREAT respect to the historical and theological implications of Vlad Dracula and his Vampire cult! Pray this gets back into print & that someone does a movie version!

I had the pleasure of being taught by this author. While taking his class the students enjoyed reading this book. I enjoyed this book very much. It basically ended the story of Dracula and I enjoyed it very much.
