I read your newest book with great interest. While reading your book, I was completely intrigued and surrounded by excitement because you brought life to those pages in your own unique way. This book was really profound and penetrating like I was reading an exegesis of this Bible's New Testament. I have to say your book has captivated me and opened up a new world and a lot of wows too! There were a lot of interesting evidences that I had not heard before. It is also a good retelling of a powerful story of Jesus and His family. You brilliantly articulated the significant points of Jewish History and Jesus' Ministry. I felt like I was being transported back to those Biblical days of Jesus' Ministry, to live and experience His teachings, His followers, and miraculous events. It is highly recommended for anyone who has a deep faith in Christianity and Judaism or is interested in learning more about the Jewish History which is my ardent thirst.

Marvelous! Could use more research in what subsequently happened to James.

I've read a lot of books lately about the Yeshua and the early church and have enjoyed each one and taken a lessen from each one. I can not say the same thing fir this book. It often rambles on and on and contradicts itself. This appears more to be a book about how Yeshua was not the messiah and that the early church was wrong to follow the movement. I embrace the Jewishness of Yeshua and yet the author made me feel horrible. I only finished this book because I wAnted to know where the author went with his ramblings

I have read several books about the beginnings of Christianity and its very strong link to Judaism and they have been excellent, but this is the best. I wish every Christian and every Jewish person would read it, it is an eye-opener.

I'm not finished with this book however am enjoying it. I believe there has been some very deliberate covering up and/or changing of our history that needs to be reopened and discussed.

Dr. Hanson takes his time in exploring the climate of the times that Jesus lived in. He links the various Old Testament and
other ancient texts that relate to the time of Jesus. Through his scholarship, he learn about the basis for the teachings of
Jesus to be successful - needed structure had to be established so this new religion and its leaders would be successful in
spreading the word. Over the centuries certain details have diminished in importance in order for the teachings to be embrace
and accepted by converts and disciples.
Well worth the time and effort, as you read the text and take your time to reflect of the word that is being shared.

I really like the book Kenneth Hanson wrote about the Dead Sea Scrolls, but this book is to far out there. I just didn't agree with him and stopped readying.
