Better off reading Jory Strong's Angellini series,
By
This review is from: Blood Red (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
This novel read very similar to Jory Strongs's Angellini series, except it not written well. I really liked Sharon Page's Sin so this comes as a surprise for me. The storyline of vampire hunter falling for vampires has been tediouly boring and this novel falls into that category.

just okay,

I wasn't impressed by this book. I had read other books by Sharon Page which were much better. This one dragged and I didn't think there was much of a plot. Even the "love scenes" seemed forced. No pun intended. It took me almost a week to read a book that I normally would have finished in one day.

Not so interesting after a while!,
This review is from: Blood Red (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
I am a big fan of historical romances especially ones involving vampires. But this book got tediously boring and repetetive after a few pages. There should seriously be a limit to the number of times people are allowed to have sex in a book. This story literally goes from one sexual encounter to the next. It is enjoyable only to an extent, after a while, you just want to say, 'Get over it'.It would have been a better read if the author had taken the trouble to have an actual story around these scenes. 'Sin' by the same author is a better read.
I normally read these books overnight or in a day, but this one literally dragged on for days and days.

Blood Red,
This review is from: Blood Red (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
Althea Yates has been plagued lately by dreams of two vampire lovers. Althea and her father Edmund are vampire hunters, therefore her dreams leave her somewhat disturbed but very aroused. While staying at an inn on the eve that she and her father will open a crypt that holds Sebastien de Wynter, an ancient and incredibly powerful vampire that could help destroy the Zayan, Althea meets Yannick de Wynter, Earl of Brookshire, one of the men in her dreams and Sebastien's brother.
After an erotic encounter with Yannick Althea is left confused and yet drawn to him. When Bastien is resurrected, Althea's encounter with him is even more startling. Bastien and Yannick are rivals, in life and in death. This time they're vying for Althea's affection. If they don't work together though they are all doomed. Blood Red is a story loaded with sex. There is voyeurism, orgies, threesomes, gay sex and more. It's very hot. The loving between Althea, Yannick, and Bastien is spicy and romantic as well, but I felt that the frequency of sex between them or others tended to override the storyline at times and it happens in some rather inopportune moments. The plot in Blood Red is a good one though. It's exciting, and mysterious, and the ending is tender and romantic, which was a very nice surprise. Nannette Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

torrid erotic Regency romantic page turner,
This review is from: Blood Red (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
In 1818 England it is like father like daughter as Althea Yates is a chip off the old block working side by side with her dad as skilled vampire hunters. However, lately she has become concerned with her dedication, not that she would let her sire down. It is the dreams of making love with two male hunks who she knows is taboo as the duo that come to seduce her are her enemy vampires that has her concerned as how can a virgin fantasize such carnal delights as she conjures up while sleeping. Adding to her trepidation is that her father Sir Edmund has recently seemed physically weak and mentally confused.
To her shock one of the stars of her porn dreams Yannick de Wynter arrives to talk to her father. Althea knows he is a vampire, but also feels a great desire to make their nocturnal ecstasy real. He, like the Yates duo, want to destroy the evil Zayan, but to do so the vampire must save the male hunter's life and bring his demon twin Bastian, her other dream lover, back from the grave. BLOOD RED is a torrid erotic Regency romantic page turner starring a wonderfully confused heroine who is competent and courageous with a crossbow or a stake, but unsure of herself (at first that is outside of her dreams) in the boudoir. This is not your parent's Regency as Althea has two lovers. However fans who appreciate it when the heat is on in their historicals will want to read the Blood saga as vampires, vampire hunters, and the Ton intermingle in erotic biting thrillers. Blood Red is very erotic. With the two brothers at odds with each other wanting to share this sensual woman. And at the same time they were vampires with extraordinary powers.. I can't wait for the next book. I have ordered the next one. I recommend this to anyone who likes romance on the exotic side. thank you :)))

I really enjoyed this book. This is the first book that I have read of Ms. Page, but I looked forward to each chapter. I wish she had explained what exactly happenned to the vampire who was causing all the mischief, but on the hold it was a wonderful story.
