So Long Anne Rice...,
By Bobby Ray (Cureo Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Blood Red A Vampires Love Story (Paperback)
I have read this book, I bought it for my daughter who was recovering from a mild surgury. She had heard about it from some of her class mates and wanted me to get it and read it to her why she was in the hospital. So I did. I was greatly amazed at how this new writer created a whole new set of vampires with new rules and moral standards. I think who ever gets this book is in for a surprise. It has some mild violence, lots of romance and a little sex. Which if I remember Anne Rices books didn't have. Good Reading and Thanks JC for a great book I hope to see more from you.

Could have been better...,
This review is from: Blood Red A Vampires Love Story (Paperback)
I ordered this book through Amazon.com. First of all, I had to re-read certain sections, because I felt like I had missed certain parts of the story. Are they Gods, or are they vampires? How does one become, "part of the family"? This book had so much potential to be great, but the author didn't follow through with a lot of leads. Alexander and Kathleen should have been the main focus, thier love story could have been great, but there was too much other blah going on. I believe the author set up for a sequel, I hope she follows through on her storylines a little better. It's sad, because I could have easily loved this book had she stayed with a particular story. I wish her luck on her next novel.
