5.0 out of 5 stars A few amazing songs, mixed in average ones
JT Money is very good on almost every single song, some of the songs on the cd are just amazing. Those songs alone make this cd 5 stars. "War" is one of the best songs I've ever heard. The only songs in my whole cd collection from this year that are better are "Get In Line" on B.G.'s Checkmate, "Shine" on Lil Wayne's Light's Out and...

JT Money is very good on almost every single song, some of the songs on the cd are just amazing. Those songs alone make this cd 5 stars. "War" is one of the best songs I've ever heard. The only songs in my whole cd collection from this year that are better are "Get In Line" on B.G.'s Checkmate, "Shine" on Lil Wayne's Light's Out and "STL" on the St. Lunatics' Free City. Other good songs on this cd are "Hi-Lo", "Superbitch", "What Y'all Niggaz Want?", "Pimpburger", which is a funny skit, "Lil' Charlie", and "Father to Son". Buy this cd if for nothing else, "War", I think you'll be surprised by the quality of almost every single other song. JT is tight as hell, and I'm gonna buy the rest of his cds, I'm looking forward to Bully. JT, too gangsta for radio.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sophomore Jinx (2 and 1/2 stars), February 13, 2007
This review is from: Blood Sweat and Years (Audio CD)
I can honestly say that Pimpin On Wax and Return Of The B***izer is Jt Money's best albums especially after hearing this one. The only tracks that are dope are War, Hi-Lo and Father To Son. Both War and Hi-Lo might do damage in the club and Father To Son is a touching joint where Jt gives his son advice. Sosa On That Chocha is incredibly lame. Superb**** is instantly forgettable. Where My Thugs At and N****z Betta Run showcase the wackness of his featured guests. What Y'all N****z Want, I Like The Way and Bustas And Haters are weak tracks that border on cheesy. Lil Charlie is another lame dance record named after a lame dance and the skits on this album(Pimpburger and Spanish Climax) are unfunny and pointless. . Bottom Line: This is one Jt Money's worst efforts. The beats were tepid, the guests were wack and JT doesnt sound as hungry as he used to sound. I'm not trying to knock him down because I told you earlier that I felt his early works but this album is Project English bad. You can tell when an album is made to satify a recording contract before you leave when you hear it. Standouts: WAR, HI-LO and FATHER TO SON.

Ex-Poison Clan member, JT Money, drops a painful Blood Sweat And Years. JT Money starts off with the title track's intro to prepare you for what you think may be a good release, but turns out to be a teaser. He gets right to "War" over a crunkified Cool & Dre production. It continues over to "Hi-Lo" with a more bounce affect. C. Tricky Stewart brings the average lyricism of JT out on "Where My Thugs At" featuring Lo. The most impressive with a different twist with positivity and direction on teaching his son on "Father To Son". "Spanish Climax (Interlude)" has a distinctive beat that should have been used to uplift hopes. The features and good production didn't seem to revive this album without bleeding to death on this Miami emcee/rapper.

jt money, one of the originals from the infamous miami group "poison clan" hits us with his second solo album, "blood sweat and years". to start off, i love the title of it, a play on words from the rock group "blood sweat and tears". not too many are as clever as this. furthermore, jt knows how to make us bounce. he starts out with a hot track called "war" with nice guitar licks. next he makes the hottest song of his career with "hi lo". this track is definately for the club scene and will definately attract a crowd. or, for the more rowdy, this would be perfect as the theme song for the movie "fight club". other standouts include "where my thugs at", "bustas and hatas" and the cold sounding "what y'all want" - it's very catchy. however, coming in at number two is the super infectious "i like the way". this is a masterpiece with a hot beat and nice hook and decent lyrics. now, you might ask, 'why did you give this a 3 star rating?' well, jt is not much of a rapper at all and is very predictable and i don't what the heck "lil charlie" is all about. what is this, bluegrass meats hip hop; really weird. anyway at least he makes hot beats and raps better than lil flip! mia baby

4.0 out of 5 stars 4 to 4.5 stars, June 10, 2001
This review is from: Blood Sweat and Years (Audio CD)
JT Money did it again and better then ever. The first song is War and it is one of the greatest tracks on the cd. Hi-Lo is followed by that. I first saw this song on BET and at first i didnt really like it, but it grew on me. Spanish Climax (Interlude) is an ok track but not the best. Sosa On That Chocha is an ok song which i would give 4 stars. Where My Thungs At is followed by that and i like that song a lot. SuperBitch is i think the best track on this cd. It has a tight beat and i love the lyrics. All of the other tracks on this cd are about a 3 to 4 stars nothing to big. Like i said this is JT Money's best cd he has come out with. It is also his second cd his first was called Pimpin' on Wax and that was a good cd too. Go out and pick them both up.

5.0 out of 5 stars His Best Yet, May 2, 2001
By
This review is from: Blood Sweat and Years (Audio CD)
JT Money has always had a way of suprising rap fans by releasing very catchy beats with great lyrics (example: Ho Problems, Playa ... off his last album). Now that its mid-2001, people are starting to get sick of the Marshall Mathers LP or Chronic 2001, even though they're great. Ding! JT Money, step up! This album is #3 on my list, just behind the original Chronic at #1, and Self Scientific's new album at #2 on my list. Get it ASAP and you will NOT be dissapointed!!
