Book Description

February 6, 2007
When a foreign child is abandoned by her family in Isolann's wolf-ridden forests, she is taken to live under Azrar's protection as his ward. The strange ability that the girl possesses, a power that so terrified her own people, could be the only hope for Prince Azrar's survival.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Taut, pacey and beautifully written - a refreshingly different vampire novel. I can't praise Blood Tears enough" British Fantasy Society --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

About the Author

Raven Dane spends her life juggling many contrasts. Born into an emotive and lively Celtic family of mixed Irish and Welsh blood, she has lived most of her life in rather more reserved Anglo-Saxon England. She struggles with being a good Catholic wife and mother of a young son by day and writing dark tales of beautiful but amoral blood drinkers by night. Her hobbies include avid cinema going and horses. She has recently founded a small stud of purebred Spanish mares. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly Excellent!, December 7, 2007

So often reviews do not live up to their rating. Blood Tears is truly excellent! Events take place in Europe during WWII and just prior. The action flows from Eastern European mountain ranges to England, to the heart of the Nazi war machine. Superstition, prejudice, obsession, love, honor, loyalty, the tragedy and horrors of the war itself. Psychics, dark kind (vampires), empaths, do these beings really exist? Are there humans with paranormal abilities? In Raven Dane's alternate reality there are. Read and enjoy!

Wonderful book. Finally a vampire book with a better plot than just romance. The WWII timeframe was great and gave the book a much different feel than most vampire books. I couldn't put it down and lost a few hours of sleep each night until I finished it. I can't wait to read more of this author's books. The last page gave me hope for a sequel.
