1.0 out of 5 stars Not even "B MOVIE" quality, May 17, 2005
This review is from: Blood Trail (DVD)
"BLOOD TRAIL - DVD"

There's so many things wrong with this movie, I just don't know where to begin. I'll give it a shot though...

FIRST: The picture quality is so bad it was like watching an old worn out VHS of a movie made 40 years ago. In fact, I've watched old westerns that have a better digital transfer quality than this junk. Blood Trail is so blurry I had a hard time focusing my eyes during the movie. Maybe that was intentional but I doubt it?

SECOND: The acting is so sub-par I'm pretty sure these guys aren't even actors.

THIRD: The story line is lame, lame, lame. In fact, there really isn't one. They're just chasing some guy around in the woods. The ending was an awful joke, as well. I'm pretty sure it was their way of slapping us in the face. SLAP!!! That'll teach ya for buying something that looks interesting without doing your homework first. SLAP!!! Well, now that you've done your homework, you can skip this garbage and go to something good.

FOURTH: LION GATE FILMS has some really bad stinkers, but granted they have some really good movies, too, but this doesn't even qualify to be in the "really-really BAD movie" category. This is more in the "a huge waiste of time AND money" category.

FIFTH: I've noticed no one has posted a review of this movie, except me, but there are almost 100 people selling it. Want to know my opinion?...No one can, in good conscience, say anything positive about this movie so they're just not saying anything at all. That's why I felt I should break the silence and let the cat out of the bag.

I CANNOT IN GOOD CONSCIENCE RECOMMEND THIS FILM. NOT EVEN TO AS A RENTAL.

I give this flop 2 THUMBS DOWN and 1 BIG MIDDLE FINGER!

2.0 out of 5 stars "True, the bread crumb trail wasn't working out, but isn't this a bit over the top?", November 19, 2010
This review is from: Blood Trail (DVD)
A pair of two-bit bandits make the mistake of disturbing an Indian burial ground and thus release an evil spirit. Elsewhere, an undersized unit of U.S. marshals do what they can to keep order in Indian territory (and spout some nifty old west lingo in the process). It is inevitable that good and evil collide at some point. Will the marshals' Native American companion Wolf prove to be their wild card in overcoming what the old legends refer to as "Bloody Hands" (a suitable name when seeing handprints made out of blood in the areas where he/it has recently partaked in carnage)? This western/horror mixture wasn't as evenly distributed as I would've like, with the supernatural and gore scenes way too scarce. You get more screentime of ole "Bloody Hands" when he was in human form dancing like a fool around a fire, for crying out loud. At least you learn that seeing an owl in daylight is considered a bad omen. And that Irishmen shouldn't sell whiskey to Indians. Sigh. 4.75/10
