You'll be thirsty for more,
By Kauffinbauchser (Tacoma, WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Blood and Water (Paperback)
So I got this as part of package of books I bought. Thought I'd resell it rather than read it, but I was in the mood for something dark and thought I'd give it a try. If you're one of those fanboys who hates Judd Winick than I guess you won't like this one either, but I really dug it.
In five short issues we're exposed to a new world of vampires who (as is the fashion nowadays) expel the rumors about being nosufur-atu and introduce us to their cool, secret world. We get to meet a sample of the wide loosely connected society of vampires, and learn something of their organization. We meet an ancient enemy, and see our hero triumph.. At a cost. By the end of the book I was more than a little interested in the world I had been exposed to, and wanted to follow the further adventures of the protagonist. It doesn't seem likely that anymore will come of this series, but if it does I'll be first in line to pick it up. |
