About the Author

Born and raised in Silicon Valley, T. Lynne Tolles is a stay-at-home mom, part-time bookkeeper and writer. In the summer of 2009 she claims she got a 'wild hair' and sat down in front of her computer and wrote "Blood of a Werewolf'" in three weeks. She started "Blood Moon" and "Blood Lust" back to back, the following week. "It was never my intention to become a writer, but the more I wrote, the more addicted I became." The Blood Series books presently include three titles. The "Bloodstone Heart" was released in August 2010 and Deadman's Blood, the final book in the series will be released in June 2011.

More About the Author

T. Lynne Tolles can be found most days, juggling one of two cat muses and a laptop, tripping over an ancient Newfoundland dog and washing a never-ending pile of laundry. When life doesn't get in the way, she writes paranormal romances for new adults.

Her passion for witches, ghosts, and vampires together with a light-hearted wit are reflected in her loveable characters and the adventures of mystery they unravel to find their happily ever after.

When I read the first two chapters I thought wow I am really going to like this book, it was all downhill from there.

I was given a copy of this book for review.

If you enjoy vamps, witches, and werewolves then you will like this series. I happen to like less witchcraft, but that's my preference. This is an easy read and flows nicely, I enjoyed both books although they aren't really heavy on the action they did hold my interest.

I thoroughly enjoyed this fanciful story of love and horror. It starts out as "the boy next door". If it wasn't for the title I would have been fooled and would have been enjoying it as just that type of story. Perhaps the author could have hidden the real objective in a a more bland title but it is part of a series on Vampires and Werewolves.
Arby is a delightful character as the latent witch and Devon, the hero is bewitched.
The story is rich in thugs and villians and vampires.
The book is beautifully written in good solid English which make it pleasure to read. I missed not having a a clickable "Table of Contents" but that is a small issue.

**Small Spoiler**

Its starts off as a warm summer day, Darby, A descendent of a witch is outside watering flowers, Then she gets new neighbors, Both of them Gorgeous, one is very taken with Darby, the other Taken to Darby's sister, Rowan, and surprise! Both Boys are vampires.
Then I immediately thought oh boy, another Twilight wannabe book, but I hardly Not finish books, so i continued to read, and boy am I glad I did. the beginning was a tad bit slow to my taste, but don't let that fool you, It picked up and was pretty good.
There are a few slow parts throughout the book, but always something to make up for the slow parts, It was overall an interesting book.
So if you into the 'Twilight'y books, then read on my friends, this book is definitely worth the 3 bucks.. If your not into the whole Mythical thing, then this isn't for you.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in order to review it.

Blood of a Werewolf tells the story of two pretty young witches, Darby and Rowan who meet up with the handsome boys next door, Devon and his brother Blake who just happen to be Vampires. However, these two aren't your stay out of the sun during the day and sleep in a coffin vampires. They were born into the life and this makes a big difference. Devon and Blake make you want to offer up your throat for their pleasure and yours.

I like the way Ms. Tolles gives the vampires a twist in her story, taking the reader away from the normal run of the mill need to be in by sunup or you're a gonner story line.
Well done, Ms. Tolles...well done

Please note: I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my review.

Blood of a Werewolf aspires to be a young adult supernatural/paranormal romance. Just think Twilight on Harlequin steroids. The premise for this story of a would be witch meets handsome boy vampire next door and their wacky adventures along the way to falling in love has the potential to be intriguing. Darby O'Reilly could certainly be lead character strong with some tweaking. The upgrade on the vampire mythology also promises to be interesting.

There are lots of problems with this book. It is over explanatory and leaves nothing for the reader to figure out. These explanations are also not cleverly woven in, but are verbally vomited over several pages when explanations are not always warranted. The love story is also very contrived. Boy and girl spy each other over an embarrassing incident, fall in love instantly, and all on a sudden everyone is ready to die for each other. FOREVER. Darby's sister, Rowan, is lucky enough to meet the vampire Devon's brother, Blake. Instant connection. Aren't you surprised? I would also think that if you owned a specialty sort of bookstore in a smal town, that you would actually have to go into work a little more often. Oh and then there's the vampires. All problems are meticulously explained in blow by blow detail of even the most trivial of actions and conversations.

The basic story is that the girls know that they are descended from withches, but have no idea how to use these powers until the vampire brothers come along and start stirring things up.

I read it as a pre reading for Blood of a Werewolf. I picked it up and could not put it down. I so enjoyed the story line and the people I feel I met and knew from reading. Some books you pick up and thumb through. This book I ingested it which means I read each word like I lived it, like a movie.
I can't really compare to Twilight books because it was really so much better written then them. I told me daughter is was a must read and clean enough to let my 13 year old read with no problems at all.
It is my opinion that T. Lynne Tolles is a natural. The flow of the book was natural and not stop and go.
The bad of the book, well it is not the end at all, the story flowed well into Blood of a Werewolf. I can't think of a negative at all.
Loved it and a read again and again book. One you will pass around to friends.
