Blood winter,
By Christopher Hosking (Cincinnati, Ohio. USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Blood Winter (Hardcover)
I was looking for some light reading, and while the dust jacket description was silly, I read the book because I enjoy the WWI period, especially from the German side. The author kept the action moving, each chapter ending with a scene which reminded me of the old 1930's serials, except I didn't have to wait a week to find out what happened next. The pace of the action was fast, intelligent, and seamless. I wish Mr. patrick had written more. He is far above some of the action dribble I have tried to read, for example, Jeffery Archer. If you enjoy a good "spy novel: with lots of action, and a well thought out story line, I recommend this book.
