More About the Author

I grew up in a small northern Minnesotan town, married my high school sweetheart, had two beautiful children and as soon as we could, we moved to a warmer climate. I have worked with my husband building and decorating custom homes for years. After loving every kind of vampire book, movie, and series, I decided that I wanted to know more. I can write a book I thought, how hard can that be? Well....very hard. But I stuck to it and finished my first book Royal Blood Chronicles Book One, Katrina, The Beginning, in August 2009. There are now six books in that series; The Protectors, The Dark Prince, Cain, the Quest, Bloodline and Legacy, and the feedback has been great. I have also released Phantom Lives - Collier, and new paranormal series, book two of that series Phantom Lives - Power, will be out in Feb. My parents always told me that I could do anything that I wanted, work hard, study, and do it right. I believe that and live that way every day.

I started writing this new vampire series for teens and their moms because I myself wanted something different to read. I was tired of all the modern versions of vampire books, there had to be more to these long lived beings. Where had they been, what had they seen? I wanted, no I NEEDED to know more so Royal Blood Chronicles was born! Strong female characters and action and adventure mixed with romance, friendship and a historical backdrop. Phantom Lives continues with another strong female charater, which is very important to me. Phantom Lives is a modern day, paranormal romance, filled with mystery, magical places and beings. This is a great addition to the series and I found it difficult to put the book down. The leader of the 5 continues to show her strengths and protect the peaceful races. The ending left me wanting more so I will be waiting eagerly for the next book in the series to come out!! I have had a lot of fun reading the series and getting to know the characters in it! Thanks Elizabeth for continuing to write this series!!

I am usually not one for writing these things but I had to with this book or actually the whole series. I have been sucked in from the first few pages of the first book. I enjoy all the journeys that I have been on from the beginning to now. The characters have grown so much also. Bloodlines was such a great adventure. It answered some questions from previous books but has left with me so many more that I will be waiting anxiously for the next book. Elizabeth Loraine is a great author with a skill to take you into another world and make you forget all your problems. I also enjoy the fact that the main characters are women. Strong, Kick Butt, Independent women. There needs to be more books out there where we as women are the rescuer not the rescued. I cannot wait to start her new series that should hopefully be coming out this summer. If you are interested in a good set of books that will transport to another time and place this is the series for you.

I have read the whole series and have been disappointed how the main character continually treats those that are important to her. She has no staying power or resolve to work problems out. It's her way or the highway. Her cold and unfeeling treatment of Damien is heartbreaking considering Damien's past. I had hoped that the main charactor would growup and figure out how to handle the stress without continuing to be so cold and selfish in her relationship with Damien. I will not be reading anymore books by Elizabeth Loraine.
