Worth a listen, not obituary but close,

Has that distinctive Obituary sound. A bit of experimentation which works well with this album and I'm sure it's going to filter into the next Obituary album. Some good solid song writing. Thumbs up.

Entertaining!,

This album is nothing groundbreaking! However, I have found myself listening to it continually. For a fan of Obituary, I have truely got my money's worth from this album. Death-metal-lite, it is, but entertaining and enjoyable.

this was better than I had anticipated..quality songwriting with Ralph Santolla's awesome solos. I find it odd that John Tardy sings exactly like he does in Obituary, which makes the comparisons between the bands too obvious. You can hear the punk/hardcore/thrash/death metal cross-over here, even some Chuck Schuldiner-esque Death wankery. The cool thing is that John actually printed his lyrics for the first time..a few songs reminded me of Back From The Dead and World Demise. Basically, they're songs not brutal enough to cut it for the new Obituary album..but ones too good to leave on the shelf. Good stuff..worth picking up if you love John's aggressive throat!

I've been an Obituary fan since 89 so I was really looking forward to this album. Though they say it is a departure from the Obituary sound it still has that signature tone and vocal sound. I like this album a lot and find it to be pretty good. It is not as aggressive as the Obituary albums but it still packs a punch. You can tell that they had a blast making this album. I recommend this album to all Obituary fans.

this is a good cd for a side project by the tardy bros.this would have seamed better released in the years of nothing obituary -back from the dead to frozen in time?the lead guitist sound overly familar style(west, murphy, paris?)someone I've herad plenty from.it dosn't sound like obituary Jr. but not too far from their tree either, much like trevors catastropic cds.
