5.0 out of 5 stars The first BPA book to own, March 30, 2011
This review is from: Bloodstain Pattern Analysis with an Introduction to Crime Scene Reconstruction, Third Edition (Practical Aspects of Criminal & Forensic Investigations) (Hardcover)
If you are a student of the forensic sciences, or ever had an interest in understanding the science (it is not an art!) of Bloodstain Pattern Analysis (BPA), then this is the book to start with. Tom Bevel and Ross Gardner are modern pioneers in the area of BPA, and are two people of a very select group of BPA experts that you would want teaching you. Their development of a common taxonomic classification system (Chapter 3) established an objective based method that created universal rules for the description of bloodstains. The universal system helps investigators working in different cities, counties, states, or countries to communicate information in a single language about their BPA findings and understand what the information means. I hope to take one of their BPA or Crime Scene Reconstruction classes one day.
