Adventuring on an epic scale!,
By Kurt A. Johnson (North-Central Illinois, USA) - See all my reviews (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE) (TOP 100 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Bloodstone Wars [Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Official Adventure Game] [For Character Levels 17-20] (Paperback)
H3: The Bloodstone Wars is an AD&D (1st edition) adventure module for five to seven characters of level sixteen to eighteen. That's right, this is a wide-ranging adventure for high-level characters. Following module H2: The Mines of Bloodstone, the characters have saved the town of Bloodstone, and have reopened the mines, but not all of their problems are behind them. A number of enemies are looking towards Bloodstone, and are desirous of taking the town's wealth for their own and enslaving its inhabitants. This means war, and the characters are going to have work hard if they are going to see Bloodstone flourish...or even survive!
Overall, I found this to be a fascinating module, with a lot of great action and grand adventure. If you have access to the BATTLESYSTEM rules, then this is a module you should consider. If you don't, then just move along, as large-scale battle are an integral part of the module. I give this 1985 module a guarded recommendation. |
