I grew up in the same general area where the story took place, so I found it to be especially interesting. The people and the events are well researched. The story of this brave woman and her life in small town Nebraska, makes the reader gain a bit more empathy for those who are judged as not fitting into society. The reader is left with the conclusion that things are not always what they seem. An excellent and fast read!
