I saw this band play last summer at a club called Station 58 in New London, CT and they blew me away. I finally got there album from Amazon recently and expectedly I am very pleased. The highlight for me is the vocals of Emily which just soar and ride the waves of sonic ambience that her bandmates create. She is one of the finest female vocalists I have heard. All players are equally talented and draw on many influences from jazz to rock to hip-hop and electronic ambient music. I get the feeling of wandering urban streets by night watching the world go by in a state of deep reflection and soulful introspection while the city buzzes on all around. Definitely worth checking out.
