Product Description

New Model Release - April 1st, 2013

The all new BloomBoss PANEL replaces the previous BloomBoss 45, for even more light with less power. It uses only 32 Watts to provide coverage for up to 4 square feet of growing area. This advancement is made possible by implementing new dual internal power supplies and 120 flat SMD LED chips. When combined, these upgrade provide 20% more light than the Original BloomBoss 45 and they consume 30% less power. In addition, the BloomBoss PANEL now features a custom molded plastic back cover to add durability and better protection for the internal components. The BloomBoss PANEL also has LED By-Pass protectors on every chip. In the event one LED chip should fail, the protector will take over to allow power to still reach all of the other LED chips.

The BloomBoss PANEL uses the latest in LED technology to provide your plants with the optimal blend of light for both growth and flowering. It features a custom mix of red, blue and white high output led bulbs for the perfect spectrum. The BloomBoss PANEL works great for many applications including, individual plants that need more light, propagation of seedlings and clones, primary lighting for multiple plants in a 2' x 2' square and supplemental plant lighting used in conjunction with your current lights to enhance the spectrum and increase the overall yield.

Since they're light emitting diodes, there is little to no heat to exhaust.

full spectrum wavelengths good for veg or bloom. Light, versatile, and wonderful enough you can fit three into a standard 48" deep tent that way you have the ability to raise individual light platforms with a pulley to help with height dependent plants. Since they're light emitting diodes, there is little to no heat to exhaust. So, if you're in cold country and use HID's to also heat up your tents, forget about it, won't happen with these. That's a perk though for many reasons as heat is also just energy being wasted. I went with the full spectrum ones over individual or switchable simply for ease of use. Been using cfl's for years and the difference in growth is substantial enough that I bought a total of four of them and plan on the purchase of another five within several months to replace all my cfl's. Kudos.

It's December, and I've had (4) of these a for few weeks, on a 12-hour timer, and the plants I brought in before the first frost in September have gone from being anemic, light-starved gangly things straining for the light in the Southern window to nice, green, healthy plants, and are retuning to their former compact shapes. I've been harvesting basil, thyme, rosemary, sage, bay leaves, and thai dragon peppers. I just harvested my holy basil plants and replaced them with trays of arugula and spring mix. Maybe this year I'll get some salad greens? Last year's Winter lettuce experiment without the lights failed miserably. Anyway, I have no complaints about the light, or the quality of its construction. I opened up the mounting screw eyes, removed the hanging wires, and used cable ties to secure the screw eyes to the underside of some wire shelving. Looks nice enough, neat, compact. One caveat; if these lights are in your living space, you want to mount them low enough that you're not looking directly at them, because the light intensity is uncomfortable to look at directly,

I have had this for about a week and it's working well. It seems to hit the balance between performance and price. The included mounting hardware works well. I have been running for about 12 hours on/12 hours off and the plants are doing well. I am only sprouting some jalapeno seeds and some basil at this point, but they are doing well.

I will probably get one more. Two of these could replace 4 48" fluorescent bulbs.

32 watts is great for a grow light. I am growing tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, peanuts, and cotton starts with this light. It does not have any noise and not too much heat. It seems to be working fine for my starts. I think $119 is a bit expensive for a LED light made in China, but it is comparable to other grow lights. I needed one with very low wattage because I use only solar power as I am off the grid. Works great
