2.0 out of 5 stars One more disappointed reader October 30, 2009
I have just bought Kindle 2, international version, with the idea of getting books, magazines, and newspapers delivered to me in Rio/Brazil where I live. Kindle is great but... I was disappointed to learn that, outside of the US, Amazon delivers text-only versions of magazines and papers. This means I would have to read BW and other periodicals without any photos, tables, etc. I don't think I want to buy a subscription with that limitation. I'm adding this review to others like it in the hope that Amazon will hear the "voice of the customer" and do something about it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Extremely Convenient May 17, 2009
This is my 3rd magazine subscription for my Kindle 2.0 (other two are Fortune and Technology Review). The BW Kindle version has neither pictures nor advertisements. That makes reading BW on Kindle a MUCH faster, but not quite as satisfactory, reading experience.

The BW Kindle version is delivered wirelessly on every Friday, which is 3 days before its weekly Monday release. If you want to get your BW as early as possible, I don't think you can get BW faster than on Kindle.

As far as content, the BW magazine always had the latest business news and trends for the casual reader. It is meant for a light read that does not require a high level business knowledge. On the flip side, BW articles usually are lacking in technical depth and deep analysis. Its articles are rarely authoritative, but rather has a high quality newspaper(WSJ) type of journalism.

One thing BW does very well is forecasting the future trends. It is willing to take a swipe at the future trends (and sometimes be dead wrong) so its reader can understand the business problems, needs, and solutions of the foreseeable future.

2.0 out of 5 stars Lazy and Poorly Thought Out October 22, 2010
By Oliver
Came upon a fascinating article about how much my identity would be worth online, only to find it consisted entirely of a graph not included in the Kindle version. Really guys? A whole week to prepare this magazine and you couldn't even so a "save as" to format an image into a Kindle friendly version? How does a goofball paper like The Onion include multiple pictures per article and we can't even get an important and informative graph in this?

They're charging regular price for minimal effort. Definitely not renewing my two-week trial.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Kindle subscription! November 2, 2009
I have been subscribing since August and I'm now hooked. The hard copy has nice pictures, graphs & colors but what I really like about the Kindle subscription is that no matter where I am traveling - there it is every Friday. They do still give you the statistics, it's just that they are written out and not in graphic format. I also like that under the article title, they also give you the number of words in the article so you know if it is just a paragraph or one of their more in-depth articles.

The Sections List index is exactly like the hard copy's table of contents dividing the articles under BusinessWeek's six main catagories & it lists how many articles are in each section. So if you typically go to a certain section such as "Business Views", it's easy to go directly there.

Another huge plus is it is much cheaper than the hard copy. At $2.49/month it costs about $30 for a year's subscription. The hard copy publication costs at least double that amount.

Also there are no ads to have to flip through! Give it a few weeks try, it really is a great Kindle subscription.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great magazine limited format for non-US November 1, 2009
Pros: A great magazine probably the only one that I can read all the way through. Kindle format very nicely formatted and navigating on a Kindle couldn't be easier.

Cons: No pictures for customers outside the US. Why? 3G is much more available in europe and also much cheaper. Why should people in different areas pay the same price for less content. This magazine has some of the best photography of a business magazine particularly advertisements yet you don't get this from the Kindle version outside the US.

Kindle format is really boring. No illustration, table, chart, picture. Reading experience is very different from printed version. I have discontinued after 2 issues.

Transferring a Paper Subscription
Try this link in the BusinessWeek website. It seems to allow you to switch from paper to a PDF version.
