We have this in blue. It is very well-made, and I love how incredibly soft it is. We use it in our kitchen sink with our 8-week-old daughter. It cushions her very well, and covers the entire circumference of the sink, but it is still necessary to cradle her with my arm because of the depth of the sink. It is also very hard to squeeze enough water out without it dripping all over the floor. We end up throwing it in our washer on the spin cycle for 1 miinute, and then hanging on a towel rack. Overall, a great purchase.

I received a gift card to a high-end baby store. This was one of the least expensive items in the store (at $40). I thought it was adorable, albeit, impractical. However, I had the gift card so I bought it. My daughter is 2 months old and we've been using it 1-2 times a week since she came home from the hospital. We've put it through the wash twice.

I'll start with the pros. This bath is adorable and your baby will be even more adorable in it when you take pictures. It is super soft. I've got 2 other girls who I bathed the old-fashioned way when they were newborns (holding over the kitchen sink, trying not to let them literally slip out of my hands). This bath allows me to set the baby in the petals and wash her without feeling like I'm going to drop her. For the first time (in baby bathing history at our house), the baby doesn't scream through bath time. It is a very relaxing experience compared to my other children. It is a very snug fit in the sink, but I like it because it allows the baby to sit up more. Some reviewers didn't care for the fit in the sink, but I don't mind.

Now, for the cons...the bath is expensive and poorly made, in my opinion. We've only used the bath a maximum of 16 times (I really don't think we've even used it that much)and the seam that connects the center to the petals has already split quite significantly. Also, it is difficult to wring out (even if you follow the directions of pressing all the petals to the center) and therefore, quite heavy (which probably contributed to the split seam).

While I love bath time with this, I wish it was a higher quality product. Maybe then it would be worth the $40+ price tag. As it is, I can't recommend something this expensive that has not kept it's stitching.

Greatest thing ever!!! Purchased for my grandson..wish I had one when I had my babies.
Very soft and thick enough to comfort baby. Comes up high enough to support baby's head and no worry of the head getting injured around the sink. My grandson loves it. He is 6 weeks old and thinks he is in salon being pampered.
Also purchased the wash cloths. Very soft and good size. Just squeeze out water and place in dryer.
Jan. 30, 2012 update. For the price, you won't be able to use this very long. The baby will outgrow it quickly. Very hard to dry and squeeze out the water with your hands. Very heavy when wet. I had to learn to fold it up as good as I could, then roll in towel to get all the excess water out and then put in dryer. Takes for ever to dry. If not completely dry, I would be afraid it would mildew quickly. Change my rating to a 3

If I could give this product 0 stars, I would for this reason. I called Blooming Bath customer service today for product information. I had used the bath about 3 times, and after reading on the package that it was made with polyurethane foam, I wondered if there were any flame retardants used in the foam. Lo and behold, the foam contains toxic and potentially harmful flame retardants, which is not mentioned anywhere on their site. Feeling guilty for giving my baby virtually a chemical bath, I tossed it away immediately and purchased the non-toxic Boon Naked bath. Blooming Bath is just not worth the money. People need to know that this product IS treated with chemical flame retardants.

Eww. I followed all of the instructions on the tag, wrung it out as much as possible each time and then hung it to air dry overnight. I even washed it several times. A few months into using it, I started to notice little green/brown specks on the bottom white part. I thought for awhile that it was the brown fabric coming off and pilling in the wash, but then the specks started to multiply and appear on the yellow petals. It was getting MOLDY! Ewwwwwww. I am so frustrated and disgusted about this product. It's not like I left it balled up wet or anything. Horrible waste of money. If you have one, make sure you check it often for signs of mold.

This actually did well when my grand baby was an infant and we used it in the sink. But then we got a baby tub with a sling and it was MUCH better. This didn't hold the baby as snuggly and safely as I thought. The flower has to be pushed way down in the sink so the baby isn't freezing and therefore it doesn't cradle them as shown. It was fun to try it tho. Oh, it did wash up well.

I got this for a present for my baby shower and I actually considered returning it. I thought it would be impractical. I am so.glad. I kept it. My daughter is now 6 months old and she has never ever cried in the bath. Never! When she was a newborn, I would sort of fold one of the pedals so prop her up better if needed. Now she can sit in it just fine. The Blooming Bath made bath time so easy! Especially for those first few baths where you are super nervous. If you hang it to dry it dries pretty quick, but you have to hang it otherwise it won't dry. Sometimes it gets a bit of a smell to it, so I fill the tub up with hot hot water and let it soak. I'm going to try and put it in the washer, I wasn't sure if it would go through OK or not.

At 6 months old I thought my daughter was getting a bit big for the sink. I pulled out the other plastic tub I got for a shower present and tried it a few nights ago. My daughter screamed almost the entire time. After that, it was back to the sink with the Blooming Bath and all is well again. Once she can sit better unassisted, I'll put the blooming bath into our tub and she can sit on it.

Overall, honestly, this has just made life so much easier. I'll be getting one for all the baby showers I go to in the future. :)
