This review is from: Bloomsbury 1997 (Audio CD)
If you remember the Incredible String Band from the 1960s--or if you've discovered their inimitable mix of Celtic and world music anytime since--it will do your heart good to hear Robin Williamson and Mike Heron launch into "Everything's Fine Right Now," the kickoff of this renunion concert from the fall of 1997. From there, Mike and Robin offer a retrospective of String Band classics like "October Song" and "Maya," and of their solo work, too, including Robin's "Love Letter to My Wife Bina" and Mike's "Feast of Stephen." Robin wraps things up with Tom Paxton's "Everytime I Hear the Sweet Birds Singing," which proves the perfect clincher for a night of resurgent magic that any String Band fan will treasure.
