"Blow Me Away" was first released on the Halo 2 soundtrack five or six years ago. The first time I heard the instrumental version play in the game, I sat in awe, just reloading last save to keep listening to it. I then bought the Halo 2 OST, wondering WHO this kickass band was. This was the first time I'd heard of Breaking Benjamin, which led me to love all of their other albums. I've been a huge fan ever since.

A slight correction to some posts about them releasing it years ago and then seemingly suspiciously re-releasing it now: For reasons unclear toy it, single MP3 or on me (as these nebulous label issues often are to outsiders), BB was unable to acquire exclusive rights to the song when it was released on the 2005 Halo 2 OST. Until now, the only way to bu disc, was to buy the entire soundtrack. For a while MP3 searches for Breaking Benjamin wouldn't even show it on Amazon or iTunes. I was sad to see such a strong, awesome track fall to the shadows of anonymity because of a silly legal snafu. Someone finally got their thinking cap straight and packaged this rocking song for single purchase. That person/entity should be thanked! Now this song can be discovered and enjoyed all BB fans. (which they should do!)

This was previously released on the hard to find 'So Cold E.P.' It's a rocker and recently was added to their setlist when I saw them in Mankato on January 23rd. Go see 'em live, they're excellent live. Their new album 'Dear Agony' is also a great addition to your collection, but so are the rest of their albums.

This is a pretty good song, but it has actually been around for a few years...I first recall it appearing on the first disc of the soundtrack for the video game Halo 2. I think it's kind of funny that they are re-releasing it now, years later.
