Secrets Don't Make Friends, October 26, 2007
This review is from: Blow Your Mind (Paperback)
Eric Pete has done it again with Blow Your Mind. When Henry was fired from his job, he vows revenge on his former boss, Tanner Coleman. As Henry is following a car which he believes Tanner is riding in, he witnesses the driver lose control of the car around a sharp turn and crash. Convinced that Tanner is in the car, Henry rushes over to the car to ensure that Tanner does not survive this crash. However, Tanner is not in the car.
The person in the car is a woman who calls herself Pumpkin. She is the type of woman that any man would give anything just to be with her for one night. She is wild and uninhibited with what seems like not a care in the world.
Bianca, unlike her sister, is more conservative. Bianca even has reservations about having sex with her husband. It seems as if she goes through the motions but does not enjoy it.
Tanner is a self-made millionaire. He literally went from having nothing to having it all after years of hard work and dedication. Even after getting to the top, he still works hard. Sometimes too hard. He spends lot of time at the office working on one thing or another and not much time at home.
Each of these characters have something in common. They all have a secret that they are hiding from one person or another that could potentially ruin their lives if found out.
Blow Your Mind is an excellent fast paced novel that I could not put down. The chapters are each only a few pages long and ended with me wanting more which made reading this in one sitting easy.

Another bestseller for Eric Pete!, March 20, 2008
An intriguing creative tale centering on fantasy, sex & revenge at the whim and mercy of Bianca Coleman.
Tanner Coleman, an extremely successful business man who has control with "everything" in his life, stumbles on the knowledge that he has very little control with his wife, Bianca and only to realize a few tragedies later that his marriage is a failure.
Pumpkin, Bianca's sister-in-deed, reeks havoc in Bianca's world.
Rory, Bianca's "good" friend, bares a deceitful so-called secret that spear heads Tanner's public demise.
Henry, an unfortunate ex-employee of Tanner's tumbles into the world of Tanner, Bianca & Pumpkin. He's entered into a relationship with them that may cost him his life.
The author used ingenuity as he softened the blow with a hilarious scene just before the brutal rape scene.
The writing was a bit mind blowing. It lacked clarity at different points in the story, preventing a score of 5 points for my review.
Otherwise, it's a job well done, Mr. Pete... I look forward to your next publication.

Pumpkin is Bianca's wild twin sister who is everything that Bianca is not. She is willing and able to give herself freely to any man, including Tanner. These people are unknowingly a part of a huge game of deception. The question becomes `who's getting played by who?'
Blow Your Mind is an electrifying novel by Eric Pete. Pete expertly dives readers in head first with this engrossing storyline. This book grabs you from the first page and doesn't let go until the very end. Pete did an amazing job of linking these characters to one another without losing the reader. Blow Your Mind is a very appropriate title for this book because there is a twist that is so heart-stopping that it is literally mind blowing. Readers will need to pay close attention when the twist is slowly being revealed or you will miss it. Blow Your Mind is entertaining, dramatic, and deliciously erotic, making this one of the surprise hit novels of 2007.
