4.0 out of 5 stars Loud!
We bought this leaf blower for my 2-and-a-half-year-old son who loves to watch people blow leaves. It was a huge hit. After he opened it he didn't want to open any other gifts. My only complaint about this toy is that it is SO loud and there is no volume adjustment! We have many toys that make sounds, but this is crazy. While I appreciate the "reality" of the...

2.0 out of 5 stars What a Disappointment!!
We got this for my three year old for Christmas and he was thrilled. He loves doing "yardwork" with Dad. We were happy he was so excited about it. After playing with it for a few minutes, he dropped it onto the carpeted floor from about two feet high. The nozzle came right off spilling yellow foam beads all over our beige rug. (These are in the nozzle and blow around...

While I appreciate the "reality" of the sounds, they need to be toned down a bit so the adults can still hear themselves talk.

(These are in the nozzle and blow around when its turned on.) My husband immediately began picking them up and noticed that his hands were yellow as was our rug. We have no idea why 1)They are dyed at all and 2)Why the dye was coming off so easy and quickly. After spraying Resolve on the carpet, we tried to put the nozzle back on to no avail. It was not supposed to come off in the first place and there was no way to make it stay on. My son was so upset. We brought it back the day after Christmas and did not try to get another. Maybe we just got a lemon, who knows? We hope we come across another brand that is just as realistic. So, based on our experience, not only is it not made well, (it fell on carpet, not concrete)the beads that may spill everywhere stain and can be a choking hazard to small children.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute, but not well made., April 4, 2007

I have to agree with the other reviews I have read on this site. It is a cute toy, but not well made. It works sometimes and then not others. My son also dropped it and the nozzle part broke off and can not be fixed. I found the beads inside to be dangerous. I have it duct taped back on. It is also very loud. It would be a great toy if it were more durable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Close to "Real"!, September 26, 2005

This leaf blower is just about as real as it gets!
It doesn't produce any air, which may turn OUR toddlers off.

In the house, it's defininely a hit. But as it is loud, it belongs OUTSIDE!

But, as we haven't tried it outside yet, I'm afraid it might lose it's appeal. My boys really like to HELP daddy with the yard. They currently sweep leaves and grass clippings. When their blower doesn't "blow", I'm afraid of how they might react.

Not sure if there are any other blowers that really blow air, though.
If NONE produce any air, this one is great!

1.0 out of 5 stars I'm so angry!, May 26, 2006

I purchased this toy for my son for Christmas, who loves to help daddy in the yard. He also loves things that make noise. This item worked fine in the store, but once I got it home, it didn't work anymore. I set it aside for a couple of months waiting to go to the store to exchange it, and the day I was going to take it back, it worked again. I had no idea what was going on, but I was happy because my son loved it. So I threw away the box, thinking it was fine. However, it only worked for a very short time. The next problem we had with it was that it would just be sitting there by itself, and would turn on, making the blowing noise, without triggering it to do so. When it was turned off it was okay. It did that for a few days and then it has never worked since then. I tried new batteries also and that didn't work. I can't exchange it because I threw away the box.

We bought three of these and each one of them broke within 1 day of use. Very, very cheap toy. Do NOT buy.

This doesn't produce any real air, so it needs an imaginative child, which mine is. It does make realistic sounds and is still fun, but you shouldn't buy it if you think your child would get frustrated that no leaves can actually be moved around.

My son who is 3 absolutely loved his blower. However, he was disappointed that it did not acutally blow air. Also, it is not well made. It lasted less than a year. It was worth the $25 I paid for it, but NO more. It was only worth it because of the enjoyment my son got from it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disaster, September 15, 2008

This product is absolutely terrible, and I really was excited about it. After three days of use, the fan that blows the green confetti inside the tube stopped working, the red spiral lights on the motor stopped coming on and the fan blade quit turning, and the tube fell off. I was able to super-glue it back together. But, you shouldn't have to accept all these defects with a new, expensive toy. I would rate it as one star, but my son really enjoyed it for a little while.
