Mr. Witherspoon's best and earliest recordings, June 16, 2004

This cd covers Jimmy Witherspoon's early r&b career, and these are great jump blues sides. Witherspoon's voice wails with the swingin' R&b big bands, thsi is some pretty darn cool music, that captures Jimmy in his prime, shoutin' and hollerin' the blues. Lot's of swingin' uptempo tuens and a few straight blues, but mostly the cd jumps, and Witherspoon proves on this cd that he may have been the best male blues shouther of all time!
