It is a good thing this game only costs $20, because that's exactly what it's worth. Blowout is a side-scrolling shooter that will remind you of the glory days of Contra and Super Metroid, though it doesn't actually measure up to either title. It is mindlessly blasting carnage with heavy artillery and the jetpack I always wanted as a kid. Sure, the game is a bit bland and outdated, with dull environments and aliens that just look like pasty-colored bugs, but you've dropped $20 on things more stupid and worthless, like that Celine Dion action figure.

Over 12 Hrs of Gameplay ,what a great deal. I found Blowout to be a great chance to go back to the days of no nonsense, no story, just kill everything games that we grew up with. The company that made it is the same ones that did BloodRayne and Roadkill and it really shows that they have some talent. I also wanted to mention that my Blowout box has a TEEN rating not mature as it says on this site.

The xbox version of this kicks butt! The control, contrary to another reivew, is great when you have it set for TWO stick - just like Halo. Lots of action, lots of fun, funny dialog. Most certainly worth $20 for a NEW game. About 15 hours of play time, all used splattering little nasties all over the ship. Worth the $$$.

To start it of this game could just posibly make the worst game in history! You're view is sideways and of course there's no story. The reson they dropped it to 10 dollars is because its that bad.
